Yep! we use the shampoo that madam purchases.....dont ask me what it is, I don't look and I don't care as long as it froths up.
She, however, will spend half an hour looking at different brands.......if I need shampoo its in and out in of the shop in 5 minutes hence she never sends me shopping..........see there's a method to my madness, can't stand shopping centres.

your lucky. if mine asked me to go to shop for anything and i didn't come back with exactly what she asked for (even if they didn't stock it). i would usually cop a mouth full of abuse, it would end up smashed and all over the floor and walls or she would run to the garage and peg it at my car. one of the many reasons i left the crazy *****. . if anyone deserves a bullet its her. |

You go and pay a pile of bills....
Hardly anyone uses generic B-Pay details any more..... I don't care if I pay the fee, just let me do it via my banks netbanking all at once... Petty... I know.

Just painted my boat. Oil based gloss no less. In a semi enclosed carport with a breeze flowing through to keep the bugs at bay.
First coat goes on, no problems... Second coat goes on, no problems... Third & final coat goes on & every bug & insect in the joint has to use it as a landing strip... well a couple anyhow! SHEEEZ I HATE THAT!!! |

I am hard of hearing.
Why is it that if I go into Macas, or similar, and say I order an X burger, with regular fries, and a regular Coke, that they then start asking questions about things. Now, I then have trouble understanding what the problem is. I'm starting to think she may have said something about the buns having mildew, the chips are stale, and the coke is flat, and that burger is wrapped in recycled toilet paper. Finally we work out that she wonders whether I would like to up size the meal. Hello!! If I wanted something different, wouldn't I have ordered it? It is a standard menu meal, what is wrong with getting it, as ordered. It is not like a restaurant where you can have the meat rare, medium, or well done, and all manner of different things. It's a standard effing junk food order. Geez, I hate that. Those that hearing problems, will know what I mean. |

I think they're getting pressured to up sell you **** you don't want.
Every time I go in they're like would you like X for only $2 extra? Or maybe its just that I'm a fat **** and they think I want everything under the sun, I dunno. |

I think it's like a competition at maccas. The people who can add the most extras to an order get something for it.
Banks are great at it too. Want to do a quote for insurance? Want to open a high interest account? Want a new credit card? Need financial advice? If you take up the offer they get a commission.

Along the same lines, I hate when you go to the deli counter at any supermarket and ask for X amount of something and they always dump X + 10-15% then ask if that's ok. NO IT'S NOT!!, I asked for 500g of shaved ham not 590g. Now you can just take it back out and give me what I asked for please. GRRRRR...

get stick when I come back to the car with an armful of choccy's and all I did was go to pay for a tank of fuel......but who can resist.

As for the banks, the tellers get nothing to up sell. It's the branch manager who gets all the accolades, free holidays and bonuses for making the tellers up sell for his/her branch. It makes the books look good for the regional manager when they come. I only know this coz my wife was a teller at 'which bank?'

You know what I hate, when you can use a a small engined tool like a chainsaw or brushcutter etc. for an entire day and it'll run flawlessly and cold start after lunch perfectly and put 3 or 4 tanks of fuel through it in the day with no problem then 2 days later when you get around to pulling it back out and sharpening the chain to do more work, it won't go. And no matter what you do it won't go. Good spark - check, won't go. Fresh fuel - check, still won't go. Clean filters - check, still won't go. GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!
Now I'm going to have to strip it and pull the carby down and look for a blockage. I HATE FIDDLING WITH SMALL ENGINES!!

I'll chime in again....
Went to the pool with my students. The Kiosk there has all manner of food (nuggets, chicken wings, pies, chico rolls, pluto pups, sausage rolls, wedges, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc (all rubbish / junk food mind you)... Price list stuck to the glass: Small chips $4.50 Medium $6 Large $8 If you want to know the prices you got to line up and ask for each one.... would it bloody hurt to perhaps... well I don't know... put up a bloody price list for everything?? Oh, and everything was WAY OVERPRICED... stupidly so... Perhaps there was method to their madness, a bit like that VW add where the guy orders ONE coffee.....

Ok, time for a whinge...
I hate ebay...but, I signed up to see if I can get a good cheap phone. Man, I have to sign in every time I make a move, especially for bids. I missed out on a galaxy s3 that was only $4.25, I slammed in a $5 bid with 4 seconds to go & the damn website took me to another page. I thought I'd won the auction but noooooooooooooo, it wanted to "confirm" me before I started bidding. So the $4.25 bid won the day. Then I find another phone, I go to sign up with paypal & it refuses to accept ANY password I type in. More than 8 characters, yes, letters...computer says no, ok numbers then...computer says no. I don't know why I bothered honestly! Whinge #2, Getting really sick of being asked stupid irritating & pointless questions, especially the ones involving money. Go to the bank to pay rent, it's funny, I do the same thing EVERY BLOODY WEEK right & the stupid "meet & greet" twit consistently asks me "& how can I help you today?" Have you got a cash register in front of you I ask, "No"...well then you can't help me can you!!! Then I go to woolies, fold up table charity out the front, guy says "geez you gotta licence for those guns"....I replied "have you got a licence to be a d----head"? Next day same thing but this time a chic, "have you got a minute to answer a question?"....I said "well that would be 2 questions then wouldn't it & NO I don't have one to spare!!!". Get to the checkout, operator says "would you like to donate to such & such charity"? I say "does money grow on trees?"....there's your answer then! Then I'm almost tripping over more fold up table charities on the main street footpath...."care to donate..."? Damn gimme a break! Whinge #3, The word "Sorry" is soooooo had it's day! I am a charity that gladly accepts donations of the word "sorry", but not from people who are simply stupid, thoughtless, careless, arrogant, distracted & otherwise not paying attention when they hurtle round the corner of a building or a supermarket isle & expect NO ONE to be there. Whinge #4, & if you sit in the middle of, & block the carpark thoroughfare just to wait for me to pull out of my spot (because I was lucky enough to get "rockstar parking) , well don't bother. I will deliberately exit my car again & pretend to chat on my phone, & when you yell out "are you leaving"....I WILL IGNORE YOU!!! That feels better, oh the serenity! I'll add one, which is becoming a sign of the times in Coles (and I spose Woolies too) super markets.
Gone is the under 10 or 12 items register, replaced with a bank of 6 or 8 self-serve thingos. Some card only, some cash and card... Anyhow,a few Sunday mornings ago, both arms full of bread rolls, milk, a mud cake, Sunday Sun, and a few other items, one of the cash terminals finally is free and I plonk the lot on the tiny shelf (which I'm certain has been designed to accommodate a maximum of 2 packets of PK chewies) and begin deciphering how to work the touch screen.. "Push start, Cash, no rewards card, yes, I want a friggin bag" (I'm not an octopus!) Doing quite well playing checkout chick until the last item.. the mudcake.. NO way will the bar code scan, After 6 or 8 swipes the screen says "wait for an assistant" Eventually "Mr Assistant" arrives, grabs my beloved mudcake and also tries to scan it. I say to him, "I've already tried that mate, or do I need to hold my mouth the right way" He looks at me incoherently, and swipes 3 or 4 more times.. Geeesh! Then he goes to his "special employee only screen" and tries punching in the bar code numbers (which has about the same amount of digits as Pi) Still NO result! Next is call ANOTHER assistant to go get another mudcake to scan (Naturally from the aisle that is about the same distance away as the last known sighting of MH370) By this time, I've HAD IT, and say to him "don't worry about it mate, I'm going before my all day parking expires" and proceed to walk out. He says "you can't just leave this stuff here unpaid for" I reply.. Bloody WATCH me! Never EVER again, will I use one of these self-serve things... Ohh.. And I also sent this same story to Coles customer service (no reply as yet)

Love self serve, thing that annoys me is people use them for a full trolley of shopping. As for self serve canning jobs, I wont go there.
I hate when ppl walk into a shop, straight to a staff member to ask where something is. Cant even be bothered using their brains.

I asked an employee why the other entrance was blocked off - increased theft was the reason. The last stocktake was so bad some higher ups got involved. I don't see how blocking off an entrance helps as now many people simply don't walk to the far end, they cut through empty checkouts, or the self service area, which is next to the now blocked entrance. I told her it doesn't take a genius to figure out the self serve is why theft is up. There's less staff overall and the one person in self serve has enough trouble keeping an eye on and helping the customers who don't steal. Besides, an 18 year old girl who weighs about 50kg won't be able to stop anyone if they've decided to steal and walk out. You could easily team up and get one to require help while another is putting stuff in their trolley without scanning. The customers who aren't happy about the reduction in service - some feel they shouldn't be paying the same price, so especially when it comes to fruit and veg, simply put it through as a cheaper item. My 74 year old Mum is one of those people. I take my full grocery shop with things like fresh produce through a normal checkout and only use self serve for a few items that scan easily.

From the moment I saw those stupid checkouts I swore I would never use them. Coles staffer yells at me across the store "excuse me sir, you can use this self serve POS up here if you like". I say "NO...I DON'T LIKE THEM"! Oh' & the best way to NOT get served is to stand at the " customer service" counter. There's never any staff there, & if there is a staffer there, they're looking the other bloody way! Last edited by Spurious; 29-03-2014 at 10:20 PM. |
