What , a ton of executive orders because the Republicans locked up Obama's just about every move or what !!!!! Blame BOTH sides not just one.

I cannot recall Obama kicking out or refusing refugees/ asylum seekers/ visitors to the USA out of hand .. If he had of done he'd be just as bad as Trump..At least Trump is honouring Obama's agreement with Australia's detainees..That's good.. I'll give credit where it is due there..
It's all a joke though, the whole lot of it...Politics in general in the States is in crisis.. It's a circus and reality TV show..
Trump will tip some radicals on both sides over the edge..That is a certainty..

I'll make one more point on refugees and asylum seekers if I may..
These people do what they do almost exclusively to escape War , tyranny and hatred. They look for countries like the USA , Australia , Canada , UK , New Zealand and many others to escape all that and find a bit of peace and safety..
I have no problem with a thorough vetting process but what Trump is doing is just the wrong thing..Pure and simple ...WRONG...
He can do it a lot more diplomatically and fairer than this and it isn't too late yet..C'mon Donald , show some compassion mate..
It turns out that the vast majority of terrorist style attacks in the US have been done by people already U.S citizens ..The figures I saw was 87 out of 122 incidents involved people born in the USA.
.
Maybe Trump needs also to treat every single one of 330,000,000 plus Americans with the same degree of suspicion...

Think Trump is honouring what he promised to the American people, after all the majority voted for this, just typical politics being played out as usual.

Interesting times indeed.

I wouldn't be making any bets on that just yet.......

"Do you believe it? The Obama Administration agreed to take thousands of illegal immigrants from Australia. Why? I will study this dumb deal!" President Donald Trump tweeted on Thursday afternoon.

G'day Barraxr8 and all ...One thing is for sure...never trust a politician , any politician ,or the press , any press to tell the whole unbiased truth all the time..Perhaps it 's more accurate to look for the outlet that minimizes the bulldust ,especially with politics..
I wanted to believe that Trump was going to honour the agreement with us as reported early this week... Okay , I thought , that's a positive sign that the Trumpster might not be as disagreeable as I first thought..All networks said that.
At lunch time ,( okay okay ..I admit it it via the ABC 1pm news only ) ..there was mention that the Washington Post claim that he is still no certainty to follow through on it and that a vigorous conversation between their Billionaire President and our multi millionaire Prime Minister was cut drastically short..angry 'dumb deal ' words were uttered by one of the leaders it was suggested strongly as you stated. ...Who was the leaker or the excrement stirrer I wonder to let that out if indeed it's a beat up or incorrect OR maybe also true and correct..
It'll be interesting to see what takes place..I hope for everyone's sake Trumpy does honour the agreement as evidence of good faith..Cheers Rod..

Mr Trump sent the tweet at 11.00 pm Washington time.

Do you reckon he gets on the turps at night and can not resist having a rant on twitter?

G'day , If it went down with Turnbull on the dog n' bone like it was reported then you know how he wants to do a fence to fix Mexico , well , maybe he better start learning how to knock up bridges too because if he isn't careful he might start burning a few like the one between the USA and OZ..
It's one thing to urinate off your enemies but it's quite another to do it to your friends....The coalition of the willing might end up the coalition of the one..
Trudeau ain't impressed , a million plus poms aren't either ,nor is a few other allies...This WILL be interesting to say the least.
Don't expect Malcy and Lucy to have Donny and Mel over for a barbie and urine up for a while yet....Cheers Rod..

Yeah that's not exactly in his favour either .

I'm surprised how quiet it is around here since Trump shat on a relationship built over decades.

He is entitled to not be happy about it and Trump is not obligated to accept it but I think Australia has earned enough respect over the last 100 years to not be hung up on. Even the Americans agree with that!

So far he is saying he is going to honour the deal but making it clear he isn't happy about it as in reality it was a Dud deal signed off by Obama on the assumption that Hillary would win and this would be a few thousand towards the hoards of refugees that she had committed to bringing in.

The rest of this whole situation could either be true or total BS time will tell with ongoing US and Australian relations.

We all know he is not happy about it. I can only guess that his staff have given him a history lesson over the last 24hrs which is why he has accepted the deal.

He shot himself in the foot to be honest. Turnbull wants to offload the refugees to anywhere but here and Trump understands he offended a close friend and this is the political price he will pay.

'Irrational'? Ok, just let me bend over and scream for more as the vermin we import turn Aussie areas into no go zones and subject us to acts of terror just like that which happens in large swathes of Europe. Please give me more, I love importing my own death...

Even better yet is the latest troubles on the horizon for Barry Obammy and his husband...
