Ex-CDC Director Robert Redfield believes COVID-19 came from Wuhan lab
https://nypost.com/2021/03/26/ex-cdc...rom-wuhan-lab/ Fauci rejects ex-CDC director’s claim that COVID-19 came from Wuhan lab https://nypost.com/2021/03/26/fauci-...came-from-lab/ Was just thinking, if it came from an animal naturally, then it is very unlikely it would have been a single host at the wet market. Likely whichever species it is, would still be roaming around, and we should be seeing fresh outbreaks all over the place, but we aren't.......hmmmmm. Again, anyone could've seen that I was being silly, but thanks for taking the time out to point out "the facts" to me. It's good to know there are geniuses around here to correct idiots like me. BTW Zero, QLD could go into lockdown, and you might need a border pass again if you're planning to travel to QLD. You know, that big G pass that let's you stay for only 14 days! Genius!! |

We really have no choice but to divert some of our local supply to PNG at this point, they need it more than us. It doesn't look like the EU is going to allow our order to be diverted to the PNG. |

My apologies, you are quite right, the Russians have been demonized by the west. We all think they eat their babies and rape their daughters. To think they could make the most effective vaccine at the cheapest price in the smallest time frame is just embarrassing to both the pharma and academic machines. |

He has emergency powers which he enacted. Any leader in the west could have done the same...except they didn't have any product to endorse. It turns out he made the correct call, based on the proven expertise of his team. Doubts were seeded when President Putin surprised the world by announcing Russian approval for emergency use of Sputnik V as early as August 2020, before phase I or II data had been published and before the phase III trial had begun. Just because the western experts weren't privvy to the program doesn't mean that the Russian program is inferior, dangerous..whatever. There is a good chance that the Chinese vaccines are just as effective, do they care if the West approves? Nope. We can all shake our heads and say they must be lying about their low deaths and cases of Covid....but what if it isn't a lie? |

Data valid as at 00:00 GMT March 27th, 2021.
Note: As not all Australian States report at the same time, the data below is based on the previous full day reporting. 10 new cases for Australia and no deaths so the CMR is 3.108%. 2 new cases and 0 deaths for NZ so CMR is 1.048% and active cases 74. The UK had a lower 3,865 cases yesterday and 58 deaths. Just over 79k new cases in the USA yesterday and 1,371 deaths sees CMR at 1.819%. Note that the USA is actually minus one day due to time differences. Other notable points: (weekend reporting) Global cases pass 127M, the last 1M in 2 days; Europe passes 900k deaths; Ethiopia (2,173); and Peru (11,919) ... recorded new daily highs; those in blue for the second consecutive day and those in red for a third or more consecutive day. The Netherlands, Namibia and Kazakhstan move above the 90th percentile for their 10 day average while Slovakia and Armenia drop below.

I reckon 30 degree days and British covid don't like each other. Let it out in Melbourne in 2 months time and it will be a different matter.

I know I keep banging on about the 90th percentiles but it really is a good indicator of which countries are getting a handle on their case numbers and which aren't.
As a guide, our 90th percentile is 276 but our 10 day average is 9 and peak is 15 which is a good example of being well on top of case numbers. Here are some examples from the other end of the spectrum. Note that a 'peak' within the last 10 days above the 90th percentile is not as bad as a 10 day average above! Peak numbers in red are also a new daily high.

Taking a leaf out of the Victorian Play Book. I see Victoria recorded their first case in 19 days today so perhaps we'll get en Easter present of the panic kind.

Timing is impeccable. Christmas, new years, and Easter.
Two of the positives went to Byron Bay whilst infectious. Will our dear supreme leader pull the trigger and turn nsw red? Next couple of days is going to be interesting.
