There has always been plenty of people looking at when I've been to have a look. Overheard quite few talking about it as well.

Not the plate for the car. They're for a Blue BF Ute, looks like someone just put them on for the photo.

Ok saw the black FGX at a campsite at mcphillamy park. Faith restored I like it. Had a chat to the Ford guy about it. Got him to fire it up. FORD should have put it on display instead of the bronze one.

On another note, Ford have just released the new Mondeo to the UK http://www.carsales.com.au/news/2014...ed-in-uk-46706 . Can't believe how much the front end looks the FGX. I guess they wanted to get people ready for Mustang and Mondeo when Falcon finishes. I must say that the Mondeo grill is better integrated into the front than FGX or should I say XR FGX, I really like the G6E front end and think the XR would look better with the Mondeo/G6E style grill. I think the Mondeo is a good looking car.

As another poster suggested, it really does seem a lot more bronze than I initially thought. Notsureifwant.gif
Hmmm, back to the drawing board on colours then... If only black wasn't a pita to to keep clean! |

I can forgive the stickers if there was a logical decision behind it, but I can't seem to fathom one. The FGX has such clean and crisp lines on it it doesn't need to be ruined with stupid stickers, especially ones that look like that...!!

Whoever thought the stickers on the XR8 was a good idea needs to have their eyes examined.

I could probably forgive the Black but live in hope that the white ones come off the bonnet bulge to reveal the engine size/hp/owners name.... anything

Not a fan of the bronze. I remember when holdens tiger mica in the VT was a sensation n a craze.. Havnt seen it in real life but I must say I prefer that color from the late 90's over this one at first glimpse.
Wouldn't kinetic be a better choice for Bathurst being blue. After all it's blue vs red all wknd ;-) can't wait for frosty to go back to back!!!! |

Tiger mica was horrible, so was Hackett Gold. But Acid Rush and Toxic were as bad if not worse. Just like Hothouse Green in the Holdens and even Ford's shockwave is looking dated now IMHO. Don't forget the yellows that were popular on Ford and Holden around 2005.
Basically, if you pick a hero colour be prepared for your car to look dated. At least with these 'last of' models the car's going to look dated anyway so it probably won't hurt as much. If you want mass appeal red, white, black and silver are still the go-tos. |

Tiger mica was a better color that victory gold in my eyes. U don't have to agree Alan but I wouldn't be alone in saying that.

Oh I am going to jump on the bandwagon of WTF...just wow...how could anyone stand back and think that's an improvement...and why would you put a sticker pack on that's not available when buying the car....is it really that hard?
Can we petition for Ford not to do it before Saturday? It's almost embarrassing.

If I saw that stickered FGX come to a stop I would expect a dozen clowns to climb out!
Who comes up with these designs??? Did they actually get paid to do that? |

I will withhold opinion until I see one of the new XR8s in the flesh.
