24 out of 2.1m. 1 in 87,500. Getting closer to Norway's stats of 1-20,000 odd. Far fetch from the 1 in 200,000 sprouted earlier on.

Last time I flew Qantas international, when the cabin crew were prancing about doing their duties, I felt like at any time disco balls could fall from the ceiling and 'its raining men' start blaring through the speaker system.

I dont know if all their international crews are, how can I put it, born that way, but this one was overwhelmingly so.

Now, Im not saying these two in the vid below are unattractive men, but id prefer at least some hostesses of the female persuasion, which you get on other carriers..

With the dismal vaccine rollout to date, all because the Fed government put their eggs in one basket with Astrazeneca, I'm thinking if there was a blood test that could at least 90% confirm you are not in the 'at risk' category for clots, then more people would be willing to take on the AZ vaccine.

There's a blood test one can do to check if one is genetically prone to blood clots. Can this test (or a modified version) be used to identify people who may develop blood clots, and as such, should avoid getting the Astrazeneca vaccine?

Surely they should have enough data available by now to be able to figure out why a small percentage people are developing clots after the AZ vaccine?? This is happening worldwide, not just here in Australia.

He had an operation to remove the clot but has now had a stroke and is on life support which is being switched off after family have had a chance to say goodbye. Terrible. Rest peacefully, Clive. :(

Two million Pfizer doses a week from October, enough for everyone by Christmas

The federal government is promising a supply of two million Pfizer doses each week from the start of October, a development that means every Australian who wants to be vaccinated could be by the end of the year, the Australian Medical Association (AMA) says.

AMA president Omar Khorshid, who has previously called on the government to address vaccine hesitancy with a massive campaign, said the promised Pfizer supply meant everyone who wanted it could have both doses by Christmas.

Your dogs, cats and horses probably already carry a variant of it. There has only been a handful of cases around the world where authorities think such animals have passed it on to people. There are other diseases to worry about with the plague.

I'm more concerns with "humans" It appears there is a concentrated effort from the federal gov of NSW to get NSW vaccinated first. Fair enough if you go with the "but they take more arrivals than anyone else". What I'm worried about is, if when there is another leak, they'll just let it run. The conditioning has already started, with talks of possibly exempting vaccinated people from future local restrictions, ignoring the fact that vaccinated people can still carry and transmit the virus. Good luck. Hopefully my folks will have their 2nd shots pretty soon, then I can sleep easier.

Italy Intends to Grant COVID-19 Passports Even to Travellers That Received Only One COVID-19 Dose

Italy plans to allow to obtain a health pass for all its citizens travelling, including those who have only have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, making them eligible for quarantine-free travelling.

According to the Ansa news agency, travellers that have received the first shot of any COVID-19 vaccines and are expecting to receive the second dose will be eligible for a “green pass”, SchengenVisaInfo.com reports.

The green pass will be effective from 15 days after the traveller receives the first dose and until they get inoculated with the second, as the legislation signed by President Sergio Mattarella on Tuesday reads.

After the traveller is fully vaccinated, his/her green pass will be updated, stating that the holder has received both shots of the vaccine.
