Any thoughts on Michael Flynn?
Will he stay or will he get tossed by Trump? Fake news?

Australia's former Chief Justice Robert French articulates his opinion on Trumps remarks about judges and "the rule of law".
“The President's statement could not be dignified as 'criticism' of a judicial decision. It was rather a content-free coupling of epithets calculated to mitigate the political embarrassment caused by the ruling by suggesting that it and the 'so-called judge' somehow lacked legitimacy,” CJ French said. “Such remarks may be seen as calculated to undermine respect for the rule of law." http://www.lawyersweekly.com.au/news...he-rule-of-law

Interesting.
The shenanigan level is currently HIGH, and that's taking into account the already elevated level just with having a hairdo as president. Something is brewing, I'm not sure what though...

There seem to be a few people around Trump who have question marks about them. Whether they were bad eggs that jumped onto the "Trump Train" or whether it goes further remains to be seen.

In the course of my duties as the incoming National Security Advisor, I held numerous phone calls with foreign counterparts, ministers, and ambassadors. These calls were to facilitate a smooth transition and begin to build the necessary relationships between the President, his advisors and foreign leaders. Such calls are standard practice in any transition of this magnitude.
Unfortunately, because of the fast pace of events, I inadvertently briefed the Vice President Elect and others with incomplete information regarding my phone calls with the Russian Ambassador. I have sincerely apologized to the President and the Vice President, and they have accepted my apology. Throughout my over thirty three years of honorable military service, and my tenure as the National Security Advisor, I have always performed my duties with the utmost of integrity and honesty to those I have served, to include the President of the United States. I am tendering my resignation, honored to have served our nation and the American people in such a distinguished way. I am also extremely honored to have served President Trump, who in just three weeks, has reoriented American foreign policy in fundamental ways to restore America's leadership position in the world. As I step away once again from serving my nation in this current capacity, I wish to thank President Trump for his personal loyalty, the friendship of those who I worked with throughout the hard fought campaign, the challenging period of transition, and during the early days of his presidency. I know with the strong leadership of President Donald J. Trump and Vice President Mike Pence and the superb team they are assembling, this team will go down in history as one of the greatest presidencies in U.S. history, and I firmly believe the American people will be well served as they all work together to help Make America Great Again. Michael T. Flynn, LTG (Ret) Assistant to the President / National Security Advisor |

Last night when all this broke I thought I'd flick over to Fox for a bo-peep.
Crickets lol. They had a cooking segment on. Haha I thought they claimed to be a "news" channel. I give Trump another couple of months at best.

The thing is, if Trump is somehow turfed out, it can be a trigger for martial law as it is considered a threat to the continuity of government. If he is "removed" by other means though, then it's open season...

Amazing the different attitudes being displayed before/after the election by the GOP. They have no interest in investigating this at all. Yet they wanted to lock Clinton up.

You can't make this stuff up. Problem is these corrupt clowns will be the ones charged with the investigation.

I love how Trump has his "Winter Whitehouse" now. Which is his golf course in Florida. It appears he is going to make regular weekend trips there. He claimed in the past that as President he would never leave Washington. Too much to do. Now that has changed. Never mind the cost of firing up Airforce One and also the ongoing costs of having his wife living in New York. Surprisingly he doubled the joining fee of his golf course in Jan. But no doubt the passengers on the Trump Train haven't noticed this, or don't care. Because he is draining the swamp....

I haven't been following too closely but didn't this Flynn guy effectly jump on phone and ask Russia to chill when it came to Obamas layover period military actions
Why he would lie to Pence and Trump about what he said I don't know, but people getting upset of a guy trying to calm down a potential war situation seems off the reservation for me. |

If only that was the case.
How about a private citizen going behind a sitting presidents back and vowing to remove sanctions put on them? Provided you [Russia] help get his man [Trump] into office. The entire conversation was recorded as is par for the course in these matters. Being ex military it is mind blowing how he did not know this, or is the man that arrogant? - Nowhere to hide now. Time will tell whether he gets protection to keep him out of Federal prison. Trump and Pence might soon follow.

Interesting, if these communications were previous to the election it puts a bit of substance behind the Russian election hack claims.
Edit- reading a media article that suggests the phonecall was on December 30, bringing me back to my initial post. Last edited by FPV8U; 15-02-2017 at 05:48 PM. |
