It's been a while since I joined up, so it's about time I actually post something and introduce myself. Names Damien, brought my first Ford a few months back, a BA MKII XR8 ute. Although I haven't done any posting I have enjoyed reading the threads located in 'The Pub' section, and also all the 'technical Resources' section (many thanks to the people for taking the time out and putting the how to's together!). Alongside the ute sits my other car, a CM Chrysler Valiant Wagon and beside that is my go kart. I'll be honest I'm a Mopar fan at heart but I respect all types of cars regardless of make. Looking forward to joining in on the conversations, and who knows maybe one day I'll right up a 'how to' article to contribute back to this great community.

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum. I'm 29 years old, live in Canberra, and I'm an auto elec by trade. Heres a pic of my daily. Its an EB series I 5.0L. I've done a fair bit of electrical work to it so far, fixing and upgrading. I'll create a build thread next time i'm on with more pics of what I have done. |

G'day all, I'm Tom from Melbourne. Recently acquired a classic fairlane as a weekend cruiser and what can I say, I'm in love with it!
My new ride is a 78 ZH Fairlane Marquis, 351, 9" diff etc. Just done 200K and nice and clean and original except LPG, new wheels and a little tasteful lowering. Spent a few happy hrs already browsing the forum and it's been very helpful. http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_5831b.jpg http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_4516b.jpg

Hi all, im Wayne from Oakey on the Darling Downs
Have been into fords all my life. Started with an xm ute hand-me-down when I was 14. Just got back from a 5 year working holiday overseas and found your site. At the moment I have an xb coupe shell(so much work dont even want to look at it!), a sweet retro xm wagon I just purchased(one owner from new)with venitians, sunvisor and roof rack. Said xm ute(still not even halfway undercoated).A clapped out black xc panelvan with a preflow 250, 3speed speco shift and 5 seat conversion. An xe esp with dismantled 351(offloading on ebay)that was recovered in poor state after being stolen and having the chassis restamped and comp plates removed and sold on(bastards!) and a '62 XL panelvan in original but worn out condition thats been sitting in the shed for 9yrs. Im glad I found a site with like-minded tapetheads who love their fords. Look forward to getting to know you all and your cars. cheers |

G'day All,
I'm Tony, and have (finally) got another Ford New addition is a 2003 BA XR8 auto, Phantom in colour, and only 73,000 on it. Weather hasn't been great so haven't got any real good pics yet. My Ford history: first car was an XB Coupe 6cyl, went on to an XB Fairmont 302 auto, fitted extractors and Hotwire mags, looked cool back then, went pretty good too. Family life saw a change, had XE 6cyl manual; wife then let me get a toy, and I purchased an XY 351 toploader 9" shaker etc (white with gold GS stripes) and some lowlife stole it I was relegated to a clapped out Telstar TX5, and we traded the XE for an EB GL, which was quite a nice car, despite being the 3.9L. Then sold the EB and Telstar and got into 4WDing for a few years; now I have a Landcruiser, and have traded the daily driver (was a Magna) to return to the Blue Oval. And that's about it!

Hi Everyone - just purchased new AWD Territory. Used it once on jayco pop top caravan and tows really well. Unable to get an answer regarding towing with the automatic. Should I keep in 3rd or on flat long runs keep it in overdrive. Have had the auto trans cooler added. Spoke to Ford Dealer who was not really helpful. Can a terry use give me the good oil? Thanks

Hi All,
This is my first real dip in the FORD pool apart from a Laser & Meteor back around the P plate days (i'm 20 odd years older now). Have been a GM man through and through but i believe at the end of the day in technology and driving pleasure so i am willing to drive any brand if its worth it. I recently sold my 08 VW Golf GTI which i truly loved as i just wasn't doing the k's anymore to keep it as well as having to park it at the station where it could get damaged was killing me. Which led me to the blue oval. I was considering a late VZ or early VE but after reading review after review i decided to test drive a BF XR6 that i loved. After a good 3 week search i found a good condition 06 BF Fairmont Ghia in Shockwave with the awesome ZF 6 and good service history with 100k on it. The ride is fantastic and the power is very impressive for 4l ( it's only 5kw down on my old 97 VT 5l Clubsport ) Thanks for having me! Omega 06 BF Ghia in Shockwave! 07 VW Jetta Turbo DSG (wifes car) |

Hi all,
been reading up on the site over the last couple of weeks and finally decided to join. I currently drive a 2009 FG XR6 (stock at the moment due to New Car Warranty), Ego in Colour around the Newcastle area. On a side note what is a good car club that does regular cruises around the hunter regions? I have read about the XR owners club of Newcastle and that they have Regular Meetings on Thursdays at Kloster's at Hamilton, but what is discussed at the meetings and can you be a member without going to these meetings? Hi everyone, I'm Pistol Pete and I'm an owner of the magnificent RS. I'm a little confused as to where to post about the RS. If special falcons like the FPV and Tickford can have their own forum, then, with even more reason, there should also be a seperate RS forum. Obviously no RS owner wants to post in the Focus section. Any suggestions are welcome. I'll start with one of my own, please let there be a seperate RS forum in the performance. At the moment, I don't know what to do. I also note from my perusal there are no RS owners on this site. Maybe thats a clue for the mods.

Hi black54 and Welcome to the Forums.
If you want to view other posts you have put onto the forum, just click on your name and you will see a drop down box. You can view more posts made by yourself that way, but in answer to your question, you posted in the Classic section You may also be able to see threads you have commented on/subscribed to, in your UserCP (user control panel). That is located - top left on the navigation bar. Cheers Col
