Hi
After 10 years driving a commodore, I've come to my senses and got something more sensible. I pick up a LV mkII LX Focus this afternoon. I am keeping the balance though by hanging onto my VK commodore wagon. It's the project car. The VS can go though!! I live in Darwin, spend a bit of time at Hidden Valley racetrack, mainly the drags volunteering as the track chaplain, so I might have met some of the NT guys already. |

Should probably introduce myself, but late to the table though haha!
I'm Brydie, a trainee accountant and uni student from Newcastle NSW. I recently got my "first" car (used my parents old car before that), a MY11 WS Fiesta Zetec in Vision. Love it, and I am having a lot of fun driving it every day and taking care of it in my precious spare time! I am pretty much so the biggest revhead you will meet- anything 2 wheels or 4 (with a few exceptions), I follow maniacally. I love MotoGP, moto2 and V8 supercars most. I was lucky enough to tick going to a MotoGP race off my racing bucket list earlier this month, and am going again next year. Hoping to tick V8s and speedway GP (the round in NZ) off the list next year too. |

Hi to all.
I joined your forum and have been searching bigtime to catch up on cars again. I bought an EL XR6 for $3500, a bit rough on the outside paint etc, totally excellent on the inside and a sweet, sweet motor. I really just wanted a cheap runaround shopping car to get around in and spend no money on it till it dropped dead, but found something exciting again and the only car I loved (FORD) before was an XB 302 GS Rally Pack. I've been a bike rider all my life and stayed with two wheels, (even when married) I love cranking over 45+ degree's. Sold Baby XB when married, she got jap crap and I stayed on the bikes. Jap cars did nothing for me and I lost the love of cars.. My XB towed my bike many miles to many places and many more miles, without the bike on back, the XB had nice solid legs for traveling. So, with a heavy hand at 2nd cut and polish, new tie rod ends, wheel bearings, new shocks/springs, K&N filter, O2 sensor, auto filter & flush, oil plugs etc. This SeXR6 comes up like a beauty and I just love the machine. This model is fantastic, it handles like on rails, not like the cars I thought could do..! wow. I've had it now for two months and have already put 10,000k's on it and have not had to put fluids in it, just like my baby XB. XB did 210,000K's in two years... no leaks, no lies!. This SeXR6 is ready for another lifetime and I got it for $3500, it was sold new for $40,000, WoW !!!!!. My XB "new" cost me $4500 - "them were the days when pay and car play were in balance" but this car is worth spending a little more on to make it go past the shopping trolly I was going to let die. I'm 58yo bike rider that's impressed with the information on computers and inside forums to give a bloke an idea on what to buy, what problems to look for in a model etc. You have helped me to pick my "made, wednesday car' EL SeXR6" and it's still worth in todays money, as far as I can see $40,000. Anyway Hello. Love the forum, thanks. |

Hey all,
dunno if intro'd myself when i 1st joined but here goe's anyway. Been driving various 4 cylinders 1st car was a 77 ford escort mk2 4 door 1600ohc auto loved it did it up then smashed it replaced it with a 86 ford telstar 2.0L auto didnt do much to it except tx5 wheels & 6x9's in rear sold it then got a 1993 subaru liberty lx(fwd) 2.2L manual, put catback sports exhaust stereo etc sold that & got a 92 nissan pintara hatch 2.0L auto didnt do much got hit up bum with that in june & insurance wrote that off then i got a 95 suzuki swift which was good until 3 weeks ago when the engine blew its head & then cooked the motor. So now i Own a 1994 ED ford falcon gli Classic model & only thing ive done to it is put 2 newish tyres on the rear which are 215/60/15's bit extra grip. Im enjoying having alot more power than all those 4's i have had & especially like the power button on this one. anyways ill put some pics up in another part of forum. Cheers DamieN

Howdie everyone. I joined this site some years ago after becoming interested in the FG. I've always been a Ford man but never actually owned one in my 24 years of driving. Did a lot of reading but no posting.
I finally bought my first Ford late October this year. I needed to upgrade my WRX which was now getting too small for the growing family. I was lucky to secure the last XR50. Wanted one of these when they came out but was not in a position yet to upgrade. Was very pleased when I found a brand new one still available and in my favourite colour. Love the forums!

Hi I am Allan and just joined today
I live in Perth semi retired ,married with no children I came across this site and thought wow this is interesting. My first wheels were a little ford prefect 5cwt ute,I then progressed to an 1964 xm falcon a great car [wish i still had it] it served me very well no problems with it, then I had a fiat car didnt like it {kept 6 weeks]I then had a new Mitsubishi Galant for a couple of years ,then I went back to ford ,A xw that did over 100000 miles before trading up to a 1973 f100 This i found to fuel hungry so replaced the 6 cylinder petrol for a 3.3litre Nissan diesel It increased my fuel economy from 11miles per gallon to 28 miles per gallon I used this for over 20 yas doing over 300000miles before giving it to my brother on a wheat and sheep farm |

Hey Everyone...
Been a long time lurker (Few years in fact) and I figured it was about time I registered! I've been a ford fan my whole life and grew up surrounded by them - I Currently own a 2010 FG XR6, and have owned a KH Laser GL and an AUII Forte in the past... oh, and a Mitsubishi 380 And No, I'm not 17... didn't check when I submitted my username details, should be 84 in my name, not 94...
