I predict Commodore sales expanding the gap next month.
Just released $35,990 SV6. That and the International Omega.. |

I don't know anyone who has bought a new Commodore, but I know a couple who have bought FG Falcons recently.

I don't understand why you guys want the Commodore to fail..
Even Americans can find support for both GM and Ford.... |

Id rather see Ford sell less vehicles but get the model mix right and make a decent profit..... 75% of commodore sales are to fleets.... that's a staggering figure and certainly places some context on their numbers "victory"...

that shares about 40% of its parts with the Falcon. Either way, the chart is valid with respect to locally designed and manufactured vehicles... |

I'm still waiting on the wagon sales from Ford but the FPV numbers arrived today (thanks Sebastian).
On those numbers the Holden sporting derivatives - SS Wagon and SS-V Wagon make up 13.3% of their sales with Utes contributing 42.6% and sedans 44.1%. In the case of HSV, sedans made up 65.38%; Utes 29.23% and wagon 5.38%. Cheers Russ

Ford consistantly outsold Holden until 1997 (since the 80's) - almost every month infact ! In the mid 90's Ford smashed Holden in sales....with the EF Falcon and the portfolio of other products they had. Perhaps you should check your facts... Hmmmmmmm.... ? |
