special magnetic ride tune and stiffer steering from Performance Pack 2. The sport pack option is only on 6MT, which is a close ratio box. Probably know all of that anyway but it pays to check what you get standard, I recon that will be a cracker as is...... The only reason we missed out on GT Mustang with PP2 was Ford didn't get approval for wider track and tyres, all of that has been rectified, so no reason why we won't get that optional performance pack. (Would be wonderful to dust off Falcon sedan with lots of nice bits from Mustangs) Last edited by jpd80; 15-10-2020 at 05:15 PM. |

It will sell well but it really depends on the price point Ford offer it at, I suspect it maybe a little over Bullitt money but under Rspec price so maybe $90-$95k and I think that's too much. Plenty of dealers added to their profit with the Bullitt as it was ltd edition and I can't see this being any different. Cheapest Rspec I have seen is $114k and they were supposed to be just under $100k, sorry but I just can't see the extra over a GT being worth it.
Now that's my opinion , many people have bought them so they disagree and the Mach1 will be no different but with so many variants available ( now the Scotty Mac one to come ) it just devalues the lot of them. However if I was to spend the extra I would definitely go with the factory version ( Mach 1 ) as I see them as being ultimately more collectible. I wouldn't have minded a Bullitt but at $30K more than my GT I couldn't justify the cost, but again that's my opinion. |

Track focused car with 5 year unlimited kms warranty. Worth a few extra dollars.
Don't think they should be bought by people hoping to make a dollar on the in the future though.

Diff cooler? Not that expensive. Intake from Ford Racing. Magnaride, fine thats good but an option on the GT? Spoiler pack..yeah OK Dont get me wrong I love the car, but if its much north of $80k then good luck. The other specials have a S/C which people I would think see the benefit in and "value" to get to the $100k mark.

This article suggests the Mach 1 costs more that the Bullitt in the US.
https://www.autoblog.com/2020/10/14/...er-books-open/ US Bullitt RRP Price - $46,705 US Mach 1 RRP Price - $52,915 In Australia, the Bullitt had a RRP before on roads of $73,688. My guess based on the US base price difference, Mach 1 will be about $80,000 - $85,000 RRP. Of course this will depend on what Ford Australia make standard.

Just make it the same price as the Bullet IMO, generally you wont have both for sale at the same time.
No red or yellow?

Depends on your dealer. $1000 would be enough. Some ask $3000

Ford have on their Facebook page. Many claim to have cancelled their orders as a result in the comments section.
Ford Great question Simon! The Handling Pack won’t be available on Australian Mach 1 models. However, our limited-edition 2021 Mustang Mach 1 becomes the most track-capable 5.0-litre Mustang ever; track-focused upgrades include specially calibrated V8 engine, more precise steering, improved ride and handling. Kind Regards, Gulten @ Ford Australia https://www.facebook.com/FordAustralia

Without it, the car will get dusted by Camaro 1LE like the regular GT350 did. Not sure what Ford was thinking here, people paying +$83k for a HP Mustang rightly have an expectation to option up to a more hard core model, FoA obviously knows better. Last edited by jpd80; 24-10-2020 at 11:21 AM. |

Just heard that strong US demand for the handling pack now means
that Ford will offer it on the Automatic cars as well, let's hope this drives a change of heart locally..... |

If BMW and the like can offer competition series M cars, it’s odd that Ford can’t follow suit selling more cars. But i guess with an allocation of just 700 cars they would probably have no idea how many people of those 700 would want the handling pack.
I guess with the M cars being on going models, and not a set allocation, it makes it easier for them to order whatever the customer asks for. |

Given production hasn't started, I don't get what the issue would be just to ask people what they want and get it done. If it means a slight delay in getting them out to customers, I don't think anyone will mind if it has the options we want.

Do the customers even get what they order on cars like these, or do the dealers make the order first and worry about selling them later?
