I read today there is only one in every second box. Pretty rare. I received my XB today that I purchased off eBay. Paint job is a little poor on my one so I will keep searching for more.

I went to a few different stores here in Brisbane but most said that all their boxes are raided before they're put on the shelves.
I didn't realise how popular these things are to collect, makes me wish I still had my Oscar Mayer Weiner car from the mid 90s in its package. lol

Well I just secured mine, thanks trav(quik6). It's much easier than scouring shops and trying to get one, cos when I do that I blow $20 on others, so this is saving me cash!
There are 6 to a box I think, and usually first person to see, gets. Not fair but hey, if I spot 6 on a shelf, I'll get them all and hand them out on here to needy collectors.

I visited a small local toy store last week and left with 2 10 packs & 2 single other cars.
The 10 packs had one in each so i swapped the two for the 2 singles i bought.
Any guesses as to what 2 of my nephews will be getting for Christmas???

I have two double ups on Treasure Hunts to choose from if anybody wants to swap for an XB. Ratbomb on a short card or Chevy Camaro Concept if anybody is interested. Funny how I can find these but not an XB.

Deloreans aren't that rare over here in Adelaide. I've got two of them in the silver (one ready to come out the packet and sit on my computer!) and one in the gold. And pretty well every time I go looking for more Hot Wheels I see more Deloreans, these days I tend to see more of the Gold than the Silver, however they are still out there and not really that rare.

Guess geographical location plays a bit of a part as to what gets made available and in what quantity!

KNow what drives me nuts?
People go and buy the XBs for 2.50 and sell them for 10 bucks MINIMUM on Ebay.
****es me off.
I would love to find something they actually want to collect, and then corner their market and give them a proverbial raspberry.

I'd love to get an Ecto-1 and a silver Delorean. All I've been able to get so far is a gold Delorean which is cool but still not as nice as the silver one :(

If I could just get those two it'd be like Christmas

Got my XB today, thanks trav!
Pride of place in my collection now. Love it!
I will NOT consider swaps, cash or anything else.
I am now going to hunt for as many mustangs as I can. Should be fun.

I have managed to score an Ecto-1 and silver Delorean and am waiting for the Batmobile. Delorean's are all over the Sunshine Coast.

Its annoying that they list them for that much. but even if they listed them for 99cents the price would still be up over the 20$.I have watched a alot on ebay and the highest I saw someone pay was 50$+ post.

I think they will be out next year in a better color as a different series .Or even as a garage edition.

Are Hot Wheels cars produced in limited numbers?
If not, they should re-release the yellow XBs to smack those selfish Ebay turdburglars in the face and to give people like me the chance to buy one not because we care about values...we just love the car and want a couple to collect.

It's like footy cards. I collect them because I love just having them and over time looking at them and reminiscing how good or crappo a player was, and the highlights and lowlights of their career.

I even went to the David Jones toy department at The Glen this morning...NOTHING! Absolutely nothing. The Hot Wheels section was a bloody mess, and there were certainly no XBs to be seen.

As I have stated, I hope those people making personal profits on the XBs choke on their wealth. This has steamed me up like hell.

There are a few of the others, but it's fair to say that XBs are gone.

All those greedy goblins on Ebay got to them...

I can have a look for people. I decided to be a greedy Ebay man (let's be honest if you knew you could make a profit you would) my local K-Mart still had 3 on the shelf so I figured bugger it. I can look in my local target and Toyworld if people want? At the end of the day if I managed to get K-Marts supply I would imagine there isn't anyone in my town looking for them.

Also if someone wants me to find one do not worry I won't be charging $10 per car. I will charge the price of the car plus postage and packaging.

There are many people still looking for one.

I am one of those people. I even went to the David Jones toy department...nothing.

I am resigned to the fact that I won't get one.
That's life.

I can still enjoy my footy cards though. The crowning card is the 2006 Select Supreme Unparalleled Gary Ablett Signature. Cost me a lot, but there are only 100.

Just do what I did and buy one off ebay. Look at it this way, cheaper then petrol spent looking and you end up with one. Save's also having to make planned trips to the shops when you could be chilling out doing what ever you like doing.

It's the principle!
I am not going to support a selfish ******** who ONLY looks to make money while people like me want ONE...ONE just to collect and to cherish for many, many years.
