Not sure what the point of that chop is? - it's not really close and the use of the Saturn Aura as a base doesn't really help either.

the point of the chop was to show what is could look like, ie flared wheel arches, shape of the glass house, strong crease line down the side of the car ect ect

At any rate I believe the VE will be a good seller, regardless of what people think of the car. Hopefully all the goodies they shove into it will prompt Ford to offer more in their cars, as well as prompt them to build even better cars. In these ways, competition is healthy for us; The customers.

The BA coming along was the best thing for our car industry, It made holden jump up and think more about what to offer and how to do it.

I saw a VE on Latrobe Terrace in Geelong today. Side profile is awful. Not sure about front or back as they were covered but the front will probably look nearly the same as VZ anyway.

Hmm that centre console is looks very cheap. Like a korean car. The pics of the calais interior previously looked alot better so maybe that cheap finish is only on the base model.

Window buttons in the centre console, when will they learn. The shifter looks like a computer mouse.

It can't be a base model. It has an LCD screen and wood trim. Possibly berlina. So far i don't think it will be leaps and bounds ahead of the BF interior, transmission surround shows no sequential shifter so i guess they will stick with the button shifter, but it looks old without a sequential shifter. The interior looks like it will carry DNA from the Captiva. After seeing these pictures i dont think Ford have much to worry about.

going by the woodgrain and the big center screen thing, i would also say this is a car in the fairmont, not fairmont ghia class... if you can make the comparrison between the 2 brands of vehicle.
Do you think they will keep the same names, ie, berlina, statesman etc? |

Centre console stack vaguely reminds me of the new Volvo S40. Not a big fan, but then I don't much like the quality of the BA/BF interior plastics either.
