then you add 1 more to the rotation. when orion comes out someone will want to wait for the next iteration.

Big Pete is on ythe money, the banner right now looks like rubbish, It was the one that I DIDN'T vote for way back when we all chose it, and I have NEVER liked it, its design is amateurish, It looks out of focus and compressed so that the quality is way down, and It doesnt blend in with the rest of the page or look as professional as this site really is.

Time to change and evolve to show how serious a site this is..... Loving your work Big Pete..

i think its a bit harsh saying that it looks like rubbish. i like the current one but petes ideas really do almost make the current one look bland

Nah, I stick to what I said, When they got it it was to get rid of the generic font they had as the forum was starting up, I always thought the current one was temporary while they got a better one, But it didn't go.... It haunts me!! lol!!

I personally love the banners that Big_pete has come up with and really think its a great represntation of the forums. We should present ourselves to the best we can. The idea of a banner change every month say is a great idea to. The concepts that pete has presented shows up a modern era of motoring and passion towards older cars and the presion going into these cars.

If your going to do new banners, they should blend into the site background, and the rest of the design. Not be cut off on 3 corners, The current logo blends into the right side (apart from maybe 2 - 3 pixels on the bumper of the car) but on the left side it doesn't. If Pete's ones had full cars in them I think they would look better, not that they don't now, but it wont suit the current design very well unless its modified.

When anyone is creating any website, to have it not blend in is very unprofessional.

my thoughts are:
top of the line performance Orion model (this decade)
a top of the line performance model from the 90s (last decade)
a top of the line performance model form the 80s (so on)
and maybe the same thing from the 70s.

obviously the banner should be left till the Orion is released.
this will give a representative of what Ford Australia has had to offer over the last few decades in the performance market.

i was going to start a thread about this, i never come in this section haha, and found theres one started

i just dont like the 2 au's next to the ba

i like the existing banner just maybe with a change of cars, keep the ba at the front but maybe have an eb gt, and a phase 3 on either side of it

I posted this in the comp page, link above by Wulos.

I'm kinda happy with what is there, but what ever happens I don't think it will please everyone. Those that own Falcon will want a Falcon there, those with a Territory will want one of those there, those with a Focus will want one of those there etc, etc..... I'm sure you all see my point.

How about we don't have a specific car there. I'm not very artistic or creative but why not include to Ford badge, the Aussie flag, or country outline the wording and go from there???????

Just thoughts......

This is why you have different generic banners for subforums. Granted you'd end up with 20 banners for the site, but they aren't hard to make that way. If your in a classic falcon section, have a classic falcon banner, etc..
