Will there be a supercharged, or high end spec v8 stang available? Like the GT500?

Ford America has revealed a Shelby GT350 and a GT350R. although early indications say it wont be available in RHD. Shelby themselves have also revealed a 600+ upgrade package available to your pre purchased GT. This package looks like it will be available for RHD cars and a company here in Australia is already on board to offer this service. It looks crap in my opinion though whereas the GT350 looks **** hot. GT500 whilst nothing has been confirmed looks likely.

I can seriously see myself in a manual v8 coupe for 55k. I'd buy one of these over a GT, and thats saying something.

That sounds like a typical Ford Marketing balls up.

Hey FGX has a V6 going by their early brochures.

They really are fools !

Good pricing. It will be interesting to see how well it sells after the initial flurry. the last large coupe that sold well initially was the monaro. Then sales tapered off. Same thing happened to the x series coupes. People love them initially but then realise it's not a "family car". Frankly my opinion is that cars should only have two doors

Yep, put down a $2000 deposit today.
Manual GT V8 in Magnetic.

The dealer also tells me that he had a communication from Ford saying that pre-orders had to be in by this Friday.

You realise we get the premium pack, plus other options as standard?
They pay nearly USD$45k for the GT we're getting
They pay USD $35k for the Ecoboost we're getting.

We arnt getting ripped off at all.

Roll On / Roll Off ships cost a bit to sail as well, it's a fair distance to ship them, I think the pricing is pretty good

^ that doesn't sound good then. Oh well. The Ecoboost is around $12k more expensive than what we paid for our (then new) XR6T with leather in 2013 so it's more than I would want to spend anyway.

The site crashed yesterday - from are marketing and sales perspective is awesome! Its a problem, but a good one to have.

Im seeing people who were never interested in fords now interested in Mustangs. And people who I never thought would buy one putting a deposit down.

Wow. This, this is what Ford needs....new blue blood

Going in next week to confirm my order. I'm pleasantly surprised with the price, thought it would be more given the dive in the Aussie dollar.

Not sure on the wheels yet, thought it would come with 20"s.

Good stuff Jim! When do you expect delivery if confirming your order next week?

Personally, I'd love a grey one with black stripes...just like Eleanor! Depending on what they're like to drive (and build quality) I could possibly see myself being swayed back into a Ford in a year or two...depending on what GM bring over from the US.
