I went looking at Carsales with my objective view that fitted your criteria, and found it depressing with what I found. Mustang and Camaro, that was it.
I wanted a sedan/coupe, something that didn't send you blind by just by looking at it, without a turbo or two, or a complicated gearbox. Nothing interesting.
That is why I took my bat and ball, and went to the pub in despair. But I stuck to your rules, which others have ignored, or ***canned you about.

Thought the same. After I read your first reply post, I goggle d new cars under $100 000 and found nothing I would really want to own either.

Which is very similar to my searching and why I limited it to 100 - as per my OP my mate paid 90 for a car that doesn't interest me, hence got me thinking what I would have done instead!

The only reason i said a 79 series landcruiser v8 tdi was because nothing interests me, and a cruiser does absolutely nothing i need it to do. And theyre expensive for something so basic, and for a daily theyre not practical as a commuter. The highest mountain i ever negotiate is mount druit.

My brother actually just bought a second hand Jeep SRT-8.

Goes well and sounds sweet, cool SUV but I have to admit It didn't feel that high quality for the $$.

I'm in two minds though - $80K for a hatch is a bit ridiculous given the others cars in that price bracket.

I like them - the Range Rover too as previous.

Mind you I'm biased as I need space for my Greyhounds but it's surprisingly limited under 100K in cars you REALLY want as new (second hand different story entirely.....maybe I'll (or whoever) start a thread on that too)

The thing is I remember thinking Wow this thing is kitted out compared to Mum's Festiva, Mum paid the same price or a little bit more for a new WF Festiva 10 years prior in 1999, it was optioned up with A/C.

We've still got the Festiva, its rotting in the driveway, growing moss all over it and houses about 750 million spiders no doubt.

I killed it after I took it 4x4ing on a mates 38 acre property, it crapped out after nearly 300,000km of abuse and neglect from lack of servicing

Macans and are good but for 100k you have to option mirrors on the passenger visor.

You need to drop 130 to start getting a good one

Yeah good point, fair enough.

The option list and prices attached on many Euro cars (which should be standard) are ridiculous imo
