that's a lot of considering with two of them running around you yangs, and out in the sticks as well.

by the way, it is the same engine as the land rover/range rover uses (the jaguar version runs twin turbos, the land rover single turbos)


the engine is actually designed and built by PSA (peugeot and citroen), who also does the 2.0-litre t/d used in the focus diesel, and is a bottler of a motor - harangue your ford dealers about it, because the t/d is the best car in the focus range.

they officially call it a joint venture, which means ford stumps up the cash and underwrites production levels, and leaves PSA alone to do its engineering...

As long as Caltex can get the diesel into production sometime this year it'd be sweet. Safe to say the diesel engines are waaaaaaay overdue.
Good to see Ford thinking laterally about the choice of engine they're willing to stuff under the bonnet..
