I remember seeing your car on ebay Cam last year I think it was, maybe he has got the pics & info from your ad there?

Surely carpoint can track down the email, send it to fed's or whoever to check IP's etc, it's in their best interests also to stop these ads on their site

what load sh..t my el gt was shipped in 97 from tickford au to tickford uk David Flint had to rego the car in oz first so John Thurston could rego it in the uk
price on shipping was $5000 air was $25,000 customs clearance , import duty and pick up had to be paid when the car landed cost of rego in the uk 160 pound

When I took the car here, I've tried to register it but I found that the import and registration taxes are very high. I was very disappointed, because I love this car and now I am forced to sell it. I can't sell it here in Spain or in Europe, because it is AUS street legal. The car was registered in Australia before. This is the reason that I want to sell the car in Aussie because European people don't like it prepared this way. The other offers that I have are als o from AU.

i reckon those numbers you deffinetly see are "4 5722", with the fist number being a 7 or a 9, and the second being an 8 or a 6.

so mabye 984 5722
964 5722
784 5722
764 5722

Cheers

herrods phone numbers are
P: 03 9464 5100
F: 03 9464 5166

close. Were pics taken at Herrods Cam? I'd say they were posted up somewhere.

Hello,

Thanks for your inquiry and genuine interest in my car. First of all I must inform you that I'm currently in Barcelona, Spain and also I have to let you know that the Ford GT-P is here with me and it is in a perfect condition. If you are really interested we can work something out. I can ship out the car to you or something like that. What do you say?
You should reply to this guy and tell him that you are very interested in the car and that it is a great price and you don't want to miss out on it. Tell him to ship it out and then he will have to give you details about the deposit and where to send the money. That should give you enough info to find out who it is right ?

In frustration with not getting very far, I've contacted "Today Tonight" on ch.7 to see if they have seen this before and maybe get some clues on tracing it.

Turns out they have seen this before!! One guy had forked out a few thousand in Brisbane for a deposit on a 'bogus' car on eBay.

They said if we can get the IP address and the e-mail address from the person who is sending the e-mails; they may be able to trace it a bit further. I'd say they may want to do a story too, but not sure if I'm interested in more publicity, as it may attract more bogus adverts!!

*for all those who have received a response from the crook, are you able to PM the e-mail header to me? PLS PLS PLS

It may be the best way to follow this up.

Big thanks to everyone who is helping too, much appreciated

In the photo's the car looks very very clean. No dust on the wheels, or brake calipers and the front of the car looks perfect.

Any chance these shots where taken at pre delivery to show the condition of the car or show that combination of colours etc?

It looks like a workshop and not some dirty garage. Painted walls, uncluttered area etc.

I think the number on the side of the bin is probably the bin company. The red n yellow sign is interesting.

This is a ripper of a mystery. Can anyone whip up a trojan horse virus that we can send to him that will report back on his location, server, ip address ? (or have I been watching to many movies)

- Herrod Helix Spacer;
- hi-flow catalytic converters;
- mandrel-bent exhaust system;
- Boss tuning device - the Herrod Stealth Computer Module;'
- the factory redline was raised from 5,900 to a safe 6,300 RPM, all of which delivers in excess of 270 rwkW's.
- Yokohama tyres in good cond.
From memory, that information is almost verbatim from what GTP200 had on ebay for the sale of this vehicle not too long ago.
