Was thinking that. Wish the previous Focus had that function.

Certainly is. However I think it maxes out at 55L/100km because I've never been able to go past this!

You're not trying hard enough. I've seen more than that in Mrs Fiesta.

550km's on a recent run from home to the Southern Highlands and back and some local stop/start running until the Low Fuel Light came on. I've got a Custom Tune though that favours Torque over fuel economy though.

3000km in on a ST and its getting 8.9l/100. Avg speed is 46kmh. That's giving it some stick but thrashing it just yet.

Marg, being a MKI it didn't come with an option of a trip computer so it would be slightly better than 10L/100KM's. It's a 4spd Auto, too and I've never really been too worried about fuel economy but I've always wished Ford had put a larger tank (55L) in it when they designed the MK1.

8000km on my ST. Nearly 4 months. City driving between 2.3 - 4.7L/100km (changing gears on green arrow). Highway 2.7L/100km rough. Giving her some shirt 7.4L/100km.

Seriously? Christ, I'm selling my Titanium and buying an ST. That's better than what my Fiesta got...

No it has not lost a 1. Ecoboost is one of the most fuel efficient motors. The new Fiesta ST will offer very similar results but you have to keep in mind that those results I get are by driving around at a constant speed. So basically, if I was driving at 60k/h, I'd be in 5th. If at 70,"I'd be in 6th and the reves would sit just above 2000. Maximum km to a tank is 600 and that's just past the full. That would last me nearly 1.5 weeks but changing gears on the green arrow. The only problem is..........it's an ST, designed to be driven fast. Hahaha .

Maybe the fuel consumption metre on your trip computer is broken... because calculating the consumption manually, at those numbers you should be getting thousands of KMs per tank, not hundreds...

There is little point giving a fuel consumption for a specific situation. i.e at 60 kph constant on the flat, if I wanted to make my figures look good with my LW GDI auto Trend I could cruise downhill at that speed and get an instant computer readout of 1.0 litre per 100 kms. or even less,...to get a true average reading which I believe is what is being asked here you need to read your indicated average computer readout which in my case varies between 7.6 and 7.9 driving sensibly around the city and suburbs of Adelaide. However, were I to cruise over a distance on the open highway at a constant speed of 100 kph I am sure I would get an average readout of something less than that.

I'm referring to the active fuel figure. Again it depends in certain circumstances. Keep in mind, an EcoBoost is more eco than a Trend. Ford estimate that the ST will be giving you an average of 7.5L/100km. From my experience, that's driving on the highway in 5th gear. Anyone with an ST, (ECOBOOST 256) will be able to see there real results.
