What a disgrace... we're the biggest global exporters of such a low carbon fuel source and yet have nothing built locally to utilize it!!! :(
Diesel vs lpg - diesel emits 120 more times the particulate matter of LPG - It takes 20 LPG vehicles to emit same amount of NOx - LPG has 11% better CO2 - 50% cheaper than diesel or petrol https://www.smh.com.au/business/comp...26-p50ob1.html |

Ford had an excellent LPG system in the Falcon but never promoted it.

I had my old business partners BF eGas ute for a week and I couldn't get the thing under 17.5L/100km AND it was terribly slow. When your average consumer thinks of LPG they think dual fuel cars that backfire, run like crap on both unleaded and LPG and the dodgy backyard conversions 90% of the LPG workshops were churning out with those crappy mixer ring setups with the massive restriction in the intake so the car runs like balls. LPG has large potential but we blew it. 91 is hanging around $1.20 and LPG $0.60 at the moment around Melbourne. Last edited by Franco Cozzo; 27-12-2018 at 11:05 AM. |

Ford lost all its momentum with LPG sales due to the huge delay with getting EcoLPI to market, I think they felt it was stuffed after then let alone the 2.0 Ecoboost- Almost completely disowned by Ford

BP just discovered a billion barrels of oil in the Gulf of Mexico BP discovers 1 billion barrels of oil at its Thunder Horse field in the Gulf of Mexico. The oil giant also says it will spend $1.3 billion to develop a third phase of its Atlantis offshore field south of New Orleans. BP credits its investment in advanced seismic technology for speeding up its ability to confirm the discoveries. |
