It starts with someone coming up with a third 'gender'. Then someone else sees that and decides to combine that with something else and come up with a fourth 'gender' and it flows on from there.

People are bored these days. They have way too much time to think of things and come up with rubbish. It's the same as governments who come up with idiotic policies. There are over 150,000 public servants in Australia and they are mostly very highly paid and they have to come up with something to show for the money. If you don't believe me a group receiving government funds have called for South Australia to regulate the size of their chicken parmigiana's. Sounds crazy I know but Google it, it's very real.

I know it seems off topic but my point is it starts somewhere. And from there it just snowballs. I'm all for men, women, gay, straight, bi, transgender, but bloody hell there are not 33 genders. That's just dumb.

My AU asks can he just change his name by deed poll to rocket ship or does he have to go under the knife & be reassigned surgically before applying? No, we're talking about mental/neurological illness. There are illnesses that are psychological in basis that can be managed via counselling, etc. There are illnesses that are hard-wired and cannot be medicated away (eg. autism, some types of gender identity disorder, etc). But they are illnesses and should be described as so. There is nothing *normal* about identifying as a gender you were not born with biologically, and its ridiculous to be teaching kids that it is. Medically, we should be aiming for a way in which this can be treated.

My message is about allowing other people to have an opinion based on their own identity, not my idea of identity. Let people have their own narrative.

Show me evidence that gender identity outside the heterosexual white male perspective is caused by 'mental health' and can be managed via such counselling methods. From my social work knowledgebase such form of psychotherapy does not exist, well certainly not any material I have come across.

Gender politics (YES, politics) is sadly a diversion from real issues in the world.
Before we simply had two mainstream genders male or female, with the distant cousin third gender (often spoken about in hushed tones), who formerly would occupy the other 31 variables.
The fact that this silent third has been extrapolated into another 31 is symptomatic of the grievance poker playing, professionally outraged industry.

Put simply, we're being lied to.
