yeah i did, sounds are wicked expecially on forced induction cars. Tons better than forza 2 and well wont even compare it to GT-P, no wonder they pushed GT realise date

Looks good but haven't had much time to play it, got it on the hardest level and its extremely hard to keep up in the first championship.

I'm absolutely shocked it's driveable at all. It would probably be a weapon AWD.

I'm mixing it up but largely going with the cars I win. Only bought one, an R32 because I wanted to see what it would be like if I turbo charged mine. :eclipsee_

Yes.

A lot more content, more tracks, more cars and a drag strip. I just wish it operated more like a real strip, having to stage - warming up the tyres, etc.

I understand mutiplayer is a little broken at the moment from comments I've read. I'm still putting together my garage so haven't tried it yet. Apparently it's missing class racing which is what I really liked about Forza 2. While maxing out the fastest car you can own can be fun, I find the challenge of putting together a class limited car makes for a better racing experience.

Well it is now a 516kw, 643nm machine. I changed it to rear wheel drive and HAD to put TC back on. I finished a whole track all 5 laps without leaving 1st and I lapped the other cars. Here is the little beast. Maybe we should have a topic in the photo section of the site for us to post our creations.

im with ED, it feels fine with controller, but granted I haven't used a wheel.

I have a mate who says it's so much better with a wheel, so I guess it's personal preference.

I have a few small gripes with it, but while small, it's dissapointing that they are there :(

- in cockpit view the drivers hands don't move to change gear, however when you view the car from the rear he does

- there isn't as much "feel" in the controller as there was in FM2. When you got the rear (or front) out in FM2 the controller vibrated straight away, now it only does it if you are WAAAYY out of shape.. kinda sucks

- the smoke in FM3 is nothing short of cr@p in comparison to FM2. FM2 you could do a semi decent burnout (nothing like GRID) and when you power slid around a corner you could see smoking coming off your car, FM3 has almost none of this!!

The lack of system link capability is disappointing, Microsoft's way of forcing people to shell out for live I guess.

Only concern is now its turned into every other dam racer where you start at the back of the grid, hate it. Much prefered FM2 where it put you depending on your car class, constantly starting at the back is BS.

The new livery / decal editor is a very powerful tool, and yet simple enough that someone like me can stumble around blindly and end up wth something semi decent (that could also be applied to any area of Forza 3 though, immense game).

I Just finished the penultimate revision of my super high res Super Roo decal (I will also do a scale sized one too, with far far less layers - this one's actual size is larger than the car itself, though I scaled it down a heap). Don't shout sacriledge, there wasn't any other vehicle in my stable to throw it on for the photo op!

Most of the way there, a few tweaks needed before that version will be accurate to the reference material (an actual sticker, lol). I like the grid in the editor!! Proportionately it's pretty near perfect (when viewed from the right angle), thanks only to the new grid - a lifesaver to say the least.

^^ That is awesome work. I don't have the patience to design decals. In FM2 I designed a Metallica themed livery for the whole car. Had Metallica in 3D (black and red) down the sides and the Metallica star on the roof. It took me ages and so much anger lol. Sold well in the auction house but.

Thumbs up

Shapes, colours, and patience ah hahaha. No joke, I've even seen someone with actual talent paint the bloody Mona Lisa onto a car in the previous game! Blew my mind what you could do with the editor, you actually do get all the shapes you need. Anyone besides me and

It's up on storefront right now I think (P.S. I reckon we should give a FordForums member discount :p), but I'm taking it down to replace it with two revised and refined editions, both are very very accurate to the source material, which I THINK was an original decal and then an update design that came in somewhere around the time of the XW.

Does anybody know where I can find a history of these decals or a sort of timeline of the different editions? I'd like to have spot on descriptions and to be able to put something similar to this in with the description: "Mk I Super Roo decal for the Ford Falcon GT & Capri. Very accurate & period correct ('69-'71). super large size".

Thanks too . Anyone besides ED & I put a bit of time into the livery editor yet? There are just so many areas in this game to absorb you..

Jeez it sounds impressive, im a GT fan but this looks good. Few q's.

1. do they cars change in handling when you start putting bigger engines in?

2. Can you put any engine you want in or are you restricted to size of the engine bay etc?

I'm a GT Fan too.. but given we have a 6 month wait for GT5, this fills the gap.
very worthwhile!

can't comment on the first, i've generally done other upgrades at the same time.
but cars with insane power drive like animals, my fox body above has no traction through first/second/third so its not the best to drive :P

there are limitations on engine changes, not sure how the limitations are put in place, eg. the Fiesta has the choice of the XR5T motor and RS200 motor

my mustang had a choice of a bunch of Ford V8s, 5.0 Cammer, Stock Car Motor etc
