In my eyes there is quite a lot of difference between the quick "tap tap" to avoid the drips on the paint, and shaking the freaking hose dry from up above your head trying to scam every last drop you can!

Also whats with people who put $10 bucks or less of petrol in, and do it daily??!!!! Why not just fill up in 1 go! Do they think they collect bonus drips from the bulk number of fills!!!???? Sheesh!!!

What he said. ^^^^^^

Usually broke...Shake... Withdraw slowly to save every drop....
But then again I feel proud that the tax's attached to the price of petrol is paying for our roads, hospitals etc....

I'm a shaker for the same reason, save the duco and coz iI'm a tightward, I used to do the 2 cents over thing now i can't be bothered.

I have learn though that if you pull up on the wrong side of the bowser on purpose you dont really need to lift hose of shake because the hose is already in the air......

Shaker also.

My old man is a goose. The lever clicks and as soon as he hears it, he pulls out and you get a bit of a splash. It ****s me all the time! And he closes everything up and runs water over it. I'm so embarrassed.

Like father like son... LIKE ****!

And I'm on a motorcycle too, get about 300km out of an 18L tank but that's going easy on the stick and mostly on highway. Knock it down to 200km for city and ripping a wheelie now and again. So having a bike boys and girls isn't exactly a stupid thing after all!

Dangerous... but not stupid.

Three clicks, a dribble more, lift the hose up above my head to get all the fuel out of the hose I paid for (just trickles out when your finished), and I always go to $20.02, or similar.

Shake every last drop off, petrol costs too much and secondly i dont want any of it dropping on my paint work.I know of a few occasions where i have picked the nozzle up yo put it in the tank and had a lot of the petrol splashed all over the paint work. Not happy jan.

I'd much rather leave 50 cents worth of fuel in the line than have a possible expensive paint repair... so I simply tilt nozzle, as I draw it out of car, to avoid any drips at all :-)
But I also try to avoid drips anywhere, anytime, anyway.... Nothing worse than a nudist bloke exiting mens room still dripping ;-)

I've started to lift the hose up at the end of filling the tank, mainly to avoid fuel on the duco but if it means I get all of what I'm paying for so be it.

Same for me. I am really trying to avoid that splash of fuel down the side of the car, not get the extra few drops in the tank

I cheat, you can get a couple of extra litres for FREE>

when you get to your 50 bucks or whatever your puttin in, press the stop button on the pump but hold the trigger on the hand filler open, and the last 2 litres in the petrol line will go into your car. Also means next guy that comes along has to pay extra $2 to fill the line back up b4 any petrol goes in his car lol

I shake it. For two reasons

1. Make sure i dont accidently spill any fuel down the side of my car.

2. Get all to fuel i can cos its soo bloody expensive!

they might avaporate. but if you put 1.02 in you get 1.00 so if you put 1.00 in you get .98cents. if you put fuel in 2 times a week that's 4 cents timesed by 52 that's $2.10 cents of fuel a year times by lets say 50 years that's $104 of free fuel. score

but seriously i tap the drops out so it dosen't get on my paint.
