whilst shopping in the smallgoods section I was aware of contact with other people, for fear of the swine flu. Some had rashes.

Could the media have possibly hyped this whole thing up any more? Granted, in the first week or two when it was overseas and not yet a known quantity, then a degree of caution may have been warranted. However, because it has now has a catchy title, its the end of the world apparently. More people die every summer from heatstroke in Australia than thing thing has claimed. Normal flu claims lives (elderly, infirm and people with respiratory problems) every year and yet we're falling over ourselves with masks, quarantine and all manner of crap and so far, the death toll here is err.....zero last time I checked. However, emergency wards remain crammed with people who happen to have a runny nose. FFS, get a grip!!!

In a month's time, this thing will have come and gone, the papers will have something else to report, and we'll be rid of the hysteria as well with any luck.

Imagine if pigs could fly;

The headlines would be "Swine Flew...Everywhere"

I work for the Murrumbidgee General Practice Network and get daily updates. If there is any cause for alarm, ill pass on the info.

Agreed however, that the media is playing on peoples fears. Just waiting for them to bring up the Nostradamus 2012 theory alongside it.
What was his theory for 2012 ????
