have a look in my photo thread in the Art and Photography section for how it looks now. I'm at work and can't link photobucket but I'll do it tonight.

Alternatively, you can have a look at the shots I look the other week on my facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/danielpeut

But yeah, I'd be happy to come along to a photoshoot.

Apologies for the terrible photo - but it was just a quick snap with my phone while stopped at the lights - looks like the tank is on the ground at least.

Fingers crossed they'll keep the facade...

Post your enquiry in the Classics section and tell them what info you are after.

There are many members there that have a huge amount of knowledge that may be able to help.

I was an apprentice mechanic at a Ford dealership [Kandos,NSW],in the '70's and the Brisbane built cars were better assembled , rare to need to do any predelivery work, mostly just wash check tyres send them out. The boss said a lot of dealers ordered their own cars to be made in Brisbane plant due to better quality control.

Around 1987 Brisbane plant (Eagle Farm) stopped building the ZL Fairlane and LTD series. VIN Prefix was JH. The NA Fairlane and DA LTD were moved back to Broadmeadows plant 1 alongside the EA Falcon series. Broadmeadows plant 1 VIN prefix was JG.
Brisbane plant was repurposed to build the Louisville and F150 Ute plus the F250 ambulance. Plant manager was Tony Simpson.
I believe the Louisville was built in plant 2 at Broadmeadows (VIN prefix JL) prior to Brisbane, Eagle Farm.
Please correct me if I got anything wrong.
Eagle Farm was also the base for dealer technical staff training in QLD and Northern NSW.
The architecture of the offices of the Ford plants were very similar through Australia and NZ.
