Haagen, German recipe full malt lager brewed by Independent breweries Australia.
$30 a slab (only 330ml bottles)
Most of the above I dislike with a passion, boags or crown not too bad.

My own home brew on tap is the best. Cause no matter what it tastes like it costs me about 20c a pint.

Go the Coopers Pale. Not the fanciest of the range but definately the mainstay of the coopers stable.

Interesting to see such a broad range of tastes... i would have though with all the mexicans on these forums it'd be a VB whitewash....

I like the Coopers Dark. Maybe it's because I got a taste for dark ale when I lived in England for 2 1/2 years and the only alternative was Fosters...

Out of the bottle, love the crisp taste of Tooheys Extra Dry (having one right now! :baby bott ).
Out of the tap I used to drink Tooheys New but have now made Carlton Draught my choice.
Personally I find beers such as Crown Lager and some of the ales a bit too heavy and bloating - can only have 2 or 3 before feeling full...

I usually have a slab of XXXX at home because its the best cheap beer around. Heres a tip for ya for drinking XXXX though (stubies only). When you Buy a carton of the stuff (hot) stick one of the 6packs in a dark and preferable average temperature place for 6 months. If you let it age a little longer its actually bloody nice.

My brother once left a carton of XXXX in the cupboard 6 months past its use by date (he'd gotten it for christmas), and it was actually up there with the beer i like to buy when i've got a few bob spare.

The best beers out IMO are:

Boags Premium
Coopers Premium
James Squire (can't remember which, the one with the story printed on the bottles).

I'll drink tooheys dry in a pinch...

The other stuff on the list is garbage (including XXXX but its cheap), but it shocking to see people choosing anything from Calton as their fav beer! Don't get me started on caronas!

I agree with a few others about Cascade on Tap...amazing...i had it once in Launceston and was convinced they had pipes running directly from the brewery up the road!!!

My favorite beer will be the one that is going to touch my lips in 2hrs and 15 mins and counting. On shift till midnight and it's been a very bad week..

As far as brand.. well right now it's 'who gives a shit', it'll be the closest one to me when I open my fridge :P

As far as the Coopers go, I would have to stay the Sparkling is my favourite, just a slightly stronger taste than Pale, although either is good.

Has anyone tried Boags Honey Porter? It is so tasty, we've had it in for a week or two and it's sold like hotcakes, not the kind of beer to have a session on, but 3 or 4 in a proper glass are magic, goes well with mudcake too.
