I saw the car on Carsales and got worried you were leaving it for something lighter and faster, good to see you're sticking around the Ford camp though.
Can't wait to see the new beast. Whens the Phase 3 kit go on?

Hehe, no Im a ford man through and through.

You probably wont believe it but Im not looking to mod the car any more than it is at the moment. I might change the cooler when the new FPV units come out for the FG (if its a bit bigger than the bf phoon unit) but that's about it. Driving with you fellas on the roads showed me that it's not all down to horsepower. If you like drag racing then go all the way with mods, but to enjoy the car on the roads cruising and some track work you really don't need much more power than what these things make stock. mine pulled 230rwkw on spiro's dyno (probably 300+ on hub units ) and now it makes 270rwkw which is plenty good. The other car was so stupidly fast it was a matter of time before I killed myself. Just hope the new owner doesn't. Was a blast to own though. I guess it's a stage I've gone through.
Here is a pic I took of it on the way back from melbourne (bought it there).

Nice one steve.
Reading your above post and following the bathurst run I am not surprised about the decision you have made.
Heck my ute with ox cart suspension was reeling you in...

Time for it to have a run in up the putty. Do the suspension and go all out there with some good rubber. Then nothing will touch you...

Ounce of power for a pound of handling. I know it sounds odd but I know a El XR6 on LPG, doesn't even put out 120RWKW yet it decimates anything that comes up against it, and on the gas pulls records at wakefield... All in suspension..

Enjoy the F6!

Cheers

I'm sure everyone knows by now that this is on this Sunday.

Weather looks to be a nice Warm 21, and being Camden it wouldn't be a bad idea to dress Warm it can be windy. They say Possible showers but they say that every week.

See Grums post here:
http://www.fordforums.com.au/showpos...88&postcount=1
For the specifics.

For those travelling from Sydney here are a few pics to help you out. Camden Valley way is pretty long, you can either hop on Camden Valley Wy from either the M5/M7 Exit or from the Hume Hwy and follow it down towards Camden.
Its in between Narellen and Camden.
Or you can take the Narellen Rd exit and follow that until Camden Valley Way.
Or From the Northern Road for those coming from the West and NW.

I think it'll be a good day whenever. And going to meets is like the mod bug, you go to one and then you're hooked.

I think it'll beat the very first B Series meet, Krispy Kreme's carpark in the pouring rain.

Yeah the phantom used a lot of fuel. But I looked at it like spending money on going to the movies or the like because it was a weekend car.
I guess that's a problem when you mod cars to that level - they use a lot of fuel, aren't quiet anymore and lose a bit of their streetability.

The new car is totally stock apart from the tune.

Well it's certainly going to rain now, as I've spent the afternoon washing, polishing, waxing, detailing the car.

I'm picking up a friend on the way, then heading out.

We really had no chance of sunshine, with this many of us cleaning up our cars, of course it was going to rain.

I'm about to head off, so I'll see you all soon!
