Not sure, Hayden and Punter are both out already, and ponting was done by Harmi for 2. Let's hope Langer, Symo, Hussey, Clarke & Gilly put on a good show.

How good is Gilchrist! 24 from an over. I thought I was watching the last over of a one-day game.

Day and a half? we'll have a lead of 600 by the end of todays play at the rate we're going at.

I can see 5-nil coming on.......................

I had sat down just when Gilly got his 50... then he went absolutely crazy, that was the most awesome bit of cricket i have seen in ages...

I knew it was amazign but if it was that then it was totally amazing. 55 balls was it for the full 100? If we heard correctly that's 50 off 15. He got 24 from one over => 26 runs from 9 balls. There was 18 runs from one over but I'm not sure if Gilly scored them all and faced them all. Assuming he did: 8 runs left from 3 balls. Geez, we might be right (or close)!

Hoggard should be hung drawn and quartered for the wide (not called) with 2 balls to break the record, one to level it.

He could have at least tried to york him, or a bouncer, anything but a wide, thats just not cricket.

Anyway, MERRY GILCHRISTMAS

Gillies second 50 came off 17 balls!!! I think that is quite amazing considering it is a test. Apparently when he asked Ponting if he wanted them to make quick runs, Ponting said no, but Gilly read it as a yes. Lucky he did.

I just saw that on Foxsport news as well... Go Gilly Lucky for the poor communication of the aussies...

The only bet available today is whether Australia regain the ashes sometime today or tommorrow morning....
