Just so stupid and unfair beyond words.
You don't really know a person until you marry them and many years later ........ divorce them.

War of the roses. It should be compulsory that every couple watch that movie before considering marriage.

I got married when I was 26. I bought a BA Falcon and long story short, we had zero luck. Both of us had health issues.... many days off work and at the time I blamed her. We separated in 2008.

I met someone.... with my issues we spent $15,000+ on IVF after we got married in 2011. To be fair she indometriosous, and polosystic ovaries as well. (I can't spell that lol) Then she decided she didn't want to work anymore.... just quit her job so when I was working she was having affairs with multiple men. Divorced start of 2016.

By a fluke my first wife came up as a suggested friend.... I said hi and we started chatting..... found out we still had feelings for each other.... I've been apologising ever since for screwing us up but 4 years later we have just purchased our first house.

I'm now 38 and she's 37.... we won't have kids. We both have issues but we laugh at each other and make our own fun. We only really have each other.... Her dad accepted me and her siblings too. I still feel guilty for the car, but we have built a rock solid relationship which should have been in 2006.
That's a really good story mate. Good luck to you both !

The system ordered me to pay for my daughter's (public) school reports.

"Not fair on school" apparently.....

I can't get a copy unless I pay - 100% legit even though no findings against me whatsoever. None.

As for topic yes Marriage can be great.

I loved my Wedding day and very cute wife.

She isn't cute in any form anymore.

Don't get married and make my stupid mistake.

Scientists have discovered a food that rapidly diminishes the female sex drive by 90%!

It’s called wedding cake

Hey what about that old pommy dude on Married at 1st blight and his dumpling, what's the go their people ?

Look at all the old Pommy shows that have a woman who is sexually demanding and the bloke is not interested at all and if fact dread such that much they will take off directly, remember that George and Mildred show and the Miss Bucket woman's sisters hubby Onslow and look at Frank Spencer. That type of stuff must be true in England.

then its found out he prefers to date the younger ones, I was there thinking, HTF does this bloke get a nice young looking sort ? is his baraber biz making that much folding

This current situation will certainly put extra stress on many relationships.
Unfortunately I've been ordered to not leave my property for the duration.
That places extra stress on my working wife as she has to do all the shopping and other things that I would do. We've been together for over 40 years and married for 35 but having been through tough times before I'm positive we'll do it again.
We're also lucky that we have acreage so it's pretty easy to not step on each other if necessary

I think we'd both be lost without each other.

Because of my wife's illness we can shop at Wollies online, I stated that even me going shopping puts her at risk LG, they are only doing home deliveries for vulnerable people

I have been ordered to work at home, work has great technology that allows us to do that, I can even access my works server drives from my own PC, the drive appears in my explorer.

My wife has shut down her home run child care service (Family Day Care) as she is vulnerable, potentially 4-6 parents a day coming into the house (with their kids) was too much of a risk for her and others kids. Luckily I earn a wage good enough to see us through, we can't go anywhere to spend anything anyway.

Like you, we have been together 45 years. we actually like each others company so being locked up together is no big deal. If I was a bit younger I would be 'pestering' her a bit more than I do now. LOL

My wife does not watch it, but my nipper does, my nipper likes my comments on it all, I just got into the habit of watching things that she watch from a young child. you can never be to carful with what the TV may portray.
This show is all recorded and on fast forward, just to bag them.

Then there is another show that 3rd rate family's sit around making comments about TV shows, now that is the dregs, but the wife likes that but I can't stand the creeps.

The wife likes watching house renovations all the time, lucky I am retired, because coming home from work to see 3rd rate trades and fools would not of gone down well at all.

Hey I lived in the times of having only 2 TV Stations and they did not come on until mid day to say about 11.00 at night.
I watched shows like Dirty Harry and the nipper will not watch that, I press pause and call the nipper out, she does not want to see him punch bastards out, but I love stuff like that. remember the Magic roundabout or Magic Island I think it was called with John Hollywood Housin as some clown.

No-one delivers near us. The nearest Coles would be about 110km and the nearest Woolies about 80km.

well Trev, were not all in your age group mate for I know you have no kids living at home.......
I have my 14yr old daughter and younger wifey who like watching alot of shows I normally wouldn't pick thats for sure but I'm at the back of our large lounge room on my laptop either work emails or surfing the net but with a 75cm tv way down yonder from me with great sound what can I do.
I look up now and then for there is some not bad sorts now and then (yet they are ****ed up) and I can't help but hear whats going on and my wife's and daughters comments.
Besides mate, I'm sure I'm way luckier than you still getting it regularly, the wife can watch whatever she likes for I love being around her lol

I'm glad mine has got sick of home renos shows, bore me to tears and I know my back pocket is going to take a HIT !

My wife loves those home reno shows on 9 Life, I can't ****ing stand those over the top Yanks, ****ing do my head in, however there are 2 I don't mind, they are:
1. Fixer Upper (Chip and Joanna Gaines, he is a funny ****er, she is pretty down to earth and a little hot)
2. Restored (love the old houses being bought back to near original)

that is the extent of it

We spend most of our time (not all, but most) on SBS on Demand and Netflix
