I'm normally quite vocal in these threads of monstrous human behaviour, but this one leaves me lost for adequate words.

I respectfully wish I had remained ignorant to these events, as I am more than just a little upset right now. I can't begin to imagine what life for her remaining siblings will be like moving ahead, or what it has been like for them all in the past.

We can only hope that there is a loving, nurturing family unit to begin repairing the damage already done.

RIP 5 yo girl - my heart and sincerest thoughts are with you right now.

i cant believe this could ever occur i have a boy who is almost 4, and whilst he can be naughty, that is not now, and never will be the answer for his naughtiness. I just sincerely hope that the bloke that did it, gets what's coming for him... And i hope that no lawyer will represent him on moral grounds.

The lack of respect shown for human life these days is sickening.

Its sadening that poor little girl was at the brunt of another example of this.

As a parent I can't work out what would bring you to harm your child in any way let alone throwing her off of a bridge but as a person I guess we have to realise that something may have just snapped.

That is not an excuse in any shape or form but we have heard that in the past when a parent has harmed a child. Maybe the little girl was crying, screaming, whinging or being a little difficult with her older brothers. Who knows.
For whatever strange disgraceful reason he has targeted the little girl only and now will have to live with that memory of what he has done for the rest of his natural life. He will have to live with the hatred his wife will have for him, he will also have to live with the absolute hatred and disgust his sons will have for him in many years to come.

Unfortunately he will be most likely be in one of those protective custody parts of jail and kept a watchful eye over so no-one can or will hurt him.

I am not making any excuses but I have to think something snapped.
It is just a very very sad situation that has taken a child in a horrifying way.

My heart goes out to this little ones brothers, mum, other family members and friends.

RIP beautiful little angel

Very Very sad indeed. My daughter is 3 and I have another due in March. I look at her and I could never ever bring myself to do that, no matter how depressed or what not, and before people tell me I don't know depression, I once tried suicide. But I could never hurt others.

I know part of the tv news stories said he was outside the court just pacing around with 2 of the other kids.

Reminds me of Michael Douglas in "Falling Down".
Definately an underlying issue.

But still your own flesh and blood. It ain't just right in any shape or form.

I just can’t begin to imagine what this poor little girl was thinking when all of this was happening. How someone who she would have trusted and loved unconditionally could do this is totally beyond me. I still can’t get this out of my head.

If his life was so bad, he should have just jumped of the bloody bridge himself.

I haven't the words to express my feelings over this matter, not to mention the poor children who witnessed this disaster, R.I.P. little darling. May the justice system deal with this monster swiftly and harshly

His other children were in the car when he stopped and threw her from the bridge. Whether she was crying or whatever (a possible trigger for someone under stress), they'll remember what Dad did. And they'll have to deal with it for the rest of their lives. Why did he pick her, and not the other two?
Those last few seconds of her life would have been terrifying for her. I hope she never regain consciousness from the fall... I don't think she did.

I've looked at hundreds of suicide cases, and most of them only took themselves out, away from family and friends.

This guy has psychopathic tendencies, to have done this!

Excluding the bridge aspect, custody battle homicides seem pretty common.
Speculation is pointless but big 4wd, hot day. Perhaps she was complaining about the heat and he snapped.

A prominent lawyer drove his 4wd full of kids off an embankment in the Adelaide hills a couple of years ago.

The anger has abated somewhat to be replaced with utter sadness about this whole affair.........

I am not looking forward to my reaction on seeing a picture of the little darling in the media, as they are wont to do.......

As a man who lost an unborn child last year but is now experiencing the joy of another one on the way, this kind of thing shocks me. We would fight with everything we have just to have a child, yet other people seem to throw them away like rubbish...devastating...

The part that still haunts me is the thought of the event from the eyes of the little girl. I could not begin to comprehend how my 5 year would react if I was to do such a thing. The trauma she would have gone through being dragged out of the car.... just haunts me. That is part that I cannot stop thinking about.

I don't usually comment on things like this. But what the hell does a 4WD have to do with this? Mate a guy drove his commodore/ford sedan or whatever into a dam and killed his kids too not that long ago.

i dont think anything we say is going to hurt this guy anymore . if i was him , i would not want to be alive right now . i think the biggest punishment he gets is going to be his own thoughts . keeping thisa guy alive will be the worst punishment he can experience.

Makes me sick to think about but killing the guy (or letting him be bashed and raped etc) isn't going to help anyone. Its pretty sad that most people on here and elsewhere still think that primitively. Unless we can understand why he's done it what chance do we have of stopping the next guy that snaps and does something off the scale like this. Its not like this is a rare thing, we're only talking about it this time because of the extreme way he did it.
I don't want the guy walking around in public and he deserves to be punished for what he's done to everyone involved, especially the little girl, but if people are seriously (as in other than an angry, knee jerk reaction) hoping the guy gets raped or something, then you need to grow up.

Wasn't intending to infer anything in regards to the car apart from the first bit saying big car, hot day.
You are right, the car has nothing to do with the event. The second part may have made it seem like i was saying it did, was just highlighting another incident in where a lawyer also lost the plot, not the 4wd bit.
