Tested to Extremes: Next-Gen Ranger's Punishing Path to Customers When it comes to testing the next-generation Ranger's toughness and durability, our global team of development engineers don't pull any punches. So far, next-generation Ranger testing has covered around 10,000km of desert driving, the equivalent of 1,250,000km of customer driving, and the equivalent of 625,000km of rugged off-road durability testing at maximum load capacity, and testing is continuing around the world. But even before the first prototypes hit the road for testing, Ford's engineers subjected next-gen Ranger to thousands of hours of computer simulations and thousands more of real-world simulations in labs, covering everything from aerodynamics to component and structure durability. So it is more than to face everything life throws at it! Find out more here (link) SHORT VERSION: The next-generation Ranger is more than ready to face everything life throws at it given testing its toughness and durability involves… around 10,000km of desert driving, the equivalent of 1,250,000km of customer driving the equivalent of 625,000km of rugged off-road durability testing at maximum load capacity thousands of hours of computer simulations and thousands more of real-world simulations in labs, covering everything from aerodynamics to component and structure durability. |

Drip feed campaigns are the standard thing now for vehicle releases. Is he expecting this to be any different?
He's always been a gutter "journalist". And I use that term loosely. He would do well writing for womans day or new idea. |

All I can say is screw JD, hope he gets replaced by a cheaper Chinese import.
That in my books would be absolute karma… |

If you really must tow over 3t regularly then you ideally should be looking at a bigger tow vehicle.

Considering that there’s now $65000 Tritons, $80000 bt-50’s and $90000 hilux’s how much of a price hike do you reckon we will see on the new Ranger? I’m thinking raptor is gonna be close to 100k and even and XLT will be 60k+

RRP for the XLT is already over $60k. A 3.2 manual 4x4 dual cab is $62566 and a 2.0 is $66377.
