My biggest surprise . . . the first time I drove a VL Commodore. Those Nissan motors and that smooth shifting four speed really impressed me and I'm a total Ford nut.

these 2 are worlds apart but I was very impressed with a 68 Daimler 250 manual a sweet little V8 and what an exhaust note
biggest suprise was a Daewoo Matiz no power but for what it was, it rode well and did what it was designed to do, not the greatest but the biggest suprise package from what I thought it was going to be For shear grunt and it did exactly what I thought, go like a cut cat Mercedes Benz 300SEL 6.3 or a Benz 600 from the seventies as well |

These two cars I have ridden in, not driven but they stuck with me the most:
1. AMG mercedes C63 I think it was - the power and the sound. OMG. 2. 2010 Shelby Super Snake with 750hp from factory. The whine out of that supercharger still resonates with me and the car just looked pure horn. The AMG sounds twice as good though!

These would have to be the top 2 on my list.
1. 2004 lamborghini murcielago 2. 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo With both cars I was quite surprised as to how tame they were to cruise around in the porsche being my pick over the lambo as an everyday car.

In the late '70's I had a drive of Kerry Packer's V12 HE twin turbo, the power & torque were just huge.

We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about. “Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”. |

this might sound a bit dump , but I went from an old xf ute to a xr6 ba ute and i was very happy with it. In many ways, and one thing in particular was highway driving, and with criuse control going up and down the hills in between Sydney and Newcastle at 125km/h. Just set the cruise and no worries with it at all.
I don,t get out much. |
