Went to get a flange gasket for an exhaust from ford. Ford said no such part exists. 2 hours later had one put on at Tuff Muff.

Got a mate that I successfully avoid for up to 3 months at a time (bet we all have one like this), who whenever he sees a nice car, decides he's going to buy it. What's worse, is when he sees you have a nice car he decides he's going to buy one and that it will be better than yours. So far he's had:

XR8
Xr6t
bmw z4
porsche boxster
clk230
S500 (with this one is was better than mine but he sold it because it was apparently "crap")
Audi S8
Mazda Mx-5

Of course whenever you ask to see any of these cars they never materialise, and they are always in for service, just been sold as someone offered 10K over his purchase price, loaned out to his brother. In actual fact, the only car I have ever seen this guy in is a shitty pulsar.

Another of his moments were when he told everyone he made $110K per year in the police force in 2002, even though constables (which he was) were on $45K. A mate who is a sergeant and on $55-60K laughed so hard that his coffee came out of his nose.

He did actually have at one stage an XF, but that apparently had a police motor in it that was an option from ford if you gave up power steering. We laughed our guts out over that.
For the sake of humanity I think I should install a toilet roll and holder for spare rolls on this guys chin in order to arrest the excrement that spews forth from his word hole.

my mrs dad had a vt2 clubby and he said it had 395 kilowatts at the wheels...it is possible with the amount of work he has done. but then he sold it and got a gts vx i think and he said it has all the same parts in the engine but only made 400 kilowatts...why only 5 more in a car that came out with 40 more kilowatts...correct me if im wrong

Granddad’s clapped out 2850 LH Trimatic Torana beat a Brock Director (with Peter Brock in the car) in a straight line drag on a freeway. It happened, but I’ve got to be VERY economical with the truth to make anyone think it was a straight match.

I beat a Porsche 930 3.6 around a turn (my lane of traffic was moving faster than his).

A Sierra Cosworth held me up on the straight (he was in the right hand lane and had his indicator on looking for a side street).

My track car is in the final stages of work and will be finished soon (15 years after I started it)

A guy I know comes out with the line “I don’t know anything about engines. All I know is that a Chev is 351 CID” – which kind of backs up his first sentence.

All front wheel drives are crap on race tracks (I seem to keep a few RWD’s honest).

I was told my car was crap.
I asked why?
Answer was 'because its a ford'

A mate was convinced V8 supercars were supercharged. Why else would they call them SUPERcars. Idiot

Try living in NSW buddy, before you criticise a NSW based statement.
I suppose, based on your logic, that the election held over a GST was a furphy then - it never happened. At least we had a choice.

I was told by a bloke that i went to tafe with last year that his stock carby cc lancer could beat my mk1 capri V6 i just told him "yeah for sure mate not much on the street can beat a cc lancer" and he agreed.

A "mechanic" at my previous work after looking at the V6 in my capri told me it was a 250 X-Flow. ing_sm

The bloke i bought the sprint off told me that the car was frequently serviced and well looked after :jab: and that from factory they ran 13.5's. _

Last year in school, there was this guy in one of my classes who had these strings of cars, no one ever saw them, but he had pictures of them, which he could have gotten from anywhere, then he claimed he had an EA with a BA XR6 Turbo motor in it. Also reckons his old man bought him computer parts every week, whatever he wanted, top of the line gear. This guy was so full of BS it made me cry every time I heard it.

many silly quotes, one guy, so little space.
Do not put superlows in your car (EA), the springs will pop out and your fuel tank will drop down and ignite,
after i chopped my springs the diff was scraping on the ground.
the Phase 3 was an aftermarket option done by an outside company therefore cannot be considered a ford
the VL walky is still the fastest four door production car in the world, runs a 12 second 1/4 stock
he put a 253 in a torana and bent the chassis so bad he couldnt open any doors and smashed the windscreen
another guy.
he has a supercharger that runs on 15 p.s.i on his sigma and it looks identical to an alternator and the coppers cant even tell the difference.
he drove his sigma without belts or fluid of any kind to melbourne and back (over 340km) without it even overheating and ran fine...
you do not need to have headlights or wipers on your car if its a sunny clear day...
he has a 383 nascar engine in his shed ready to go into his sigma, apparently puts out 500rwkw and needs to be run on pure avgas...
BOTH WERE DEAD SERIOUS!
i didnt even bother arguing with them... its just too sad...

sounds lke my mate, he's a martial arts champion :P

he once told me he done doughnuts in his mums corolla, when i asked if they were reverse doughies he said no, you can't do doughnuts in reverse. All very convincing, seeing as corollas are FWD

the corolla could beat my EF too, and they still build the 2000 model shape because not many people liked the new model

when he turns 17 his grandparents are gonna buy him a crewman ute, and he's gonna supercharge and turbocharge it, its gonna run on gas cause its cheaper, but when he wants to go fast it'll run on gas and petrol together cause together the explosion in the engine will be like its on rocket fuel

You do realise that when that speedo reads 210... the car is doing more like 170, possibly 180, don't you?

Whenever i take the car out.....Ever dog and his mother telling me he use to own a Phase III with toploader and then asking if mine is a genuine HO....

An ex VL turbo driver who believes he had a 10 sec VL but never ran it and believed he had over 400rwkw... Mate in a skyline who regularly runs 10s(at Calder) challenged him at calder and you guessed it... VL 13.2 @ ??? (cant remember speed, drag setup) SKYLINE 10.5 @131 (in street trim)... i'd say MR VL got ROYALLY OWNED
