it was the fact that i had the factory tune in.. not the 98 generic..

when simon and i grabbed lunch i "thought" id flashed in the 98 tune, all the lights did what they were supposed to. but when i went to flash it back to factory this morning.. when it foirst powered up, it said that the "Factory tune" was the one i was running.

NOT HAPPY JAN... hahahah idiot.. so i got a PB of 15.13 @ 94.99mph WITHOUT a generic tune..
Did you do that on purpose just to give yourself an excuse to come back down HAHA. Looking forward to seeing you again.

Ok, last week it wasn't as cool as we would've liked at WSID. But just checking the forecast, it seems like the snapfreeze will hang around til Wednesday (I can't feel my toes at the moment). So, if anyones interested, come down, I'll be there...
I know the Futura's got a 14.7 in it.

Wednesday Fine. Cold southwest wind.

City: Min: 6 Max: 13
West: Min: 3 Max: 12

Thursday Cold. Windy. Coastal showers.

City: Min: 7 Max: 14
West: Min: 3 Max: 13

Hi all, the 11th went well. I got to set a official PB of 11.4 even thought my last run most definitely nudged or was a 10 (the timing gear failed for the ET). I will be back out tomorrow night to make it official.

With the cold weather I am hopeful of setting a decent time to get 'banned' from WSID, say hi if you are around I will be the one standing next to the Silver Beast keeping my hands warm over the engine.

Regards

M G

if you crack into 10 seconds and dont have a ANDRA licence and your car isnt up to ANDRA standards for car doing 10.99 or less you can't use it, EG Roll Cage ect

Thats the plan and with the extra cold weather there has to be a few extra Rwkw in it ;)

The rules are that once you hit a 11 sec pass you must get a ANDRA license and once you hit a 10 sec pass you have to install a roll cage. I will be happy to get a timeslip with a 10 on it and be done with drags for my xr6t.

In comparing last weeks time slips and talking with a few higher end drag racing friends (6-7 sec ) cars, they say my last run was definitely a 10.8/10.9.. Talk about being ****ed at the fact WSID recorded everything on the timeslip except the ET and MPG. At least it gives me a chance to have another crack and with the colder weather and extra practice maybe a better time.

Regards

M G

Dunno fellas, seems a bit too cold for me, I might give it a miss, plus cash is a bit tight.
And the heaters broken.
Either way good luck to all, and I hope to see a 10second slip posted here on thursday!

We might need to make a special Bseries sticker for members who have been banned from a dragway!

Well done to Geoff.
Considering that Geoff isn't a seasoned driver, it's even a greater testament to the greek adonis at Autotech. With an experienced driver behind the wheel the car would make low 10s easy.

They asked him to retire for the night after the run
