Nah, You'll probably miss them. I'm assuming that you'll be heading out via Port Wakefield Road, in which case, "Folks, if you look over to your right, you can see the scum of Adelaide. And over on your left..."
If you head out via Main North Road (why, I wouldn't know) then you'll head straight through the heart of them. If you do head out that way, be sure to stop in at the Barossa for a few cases of wine for the drive home.

This is priceless, I know the south and the north can be a little rough, (but I come from the country where we like it rough!! : ) but in my experience in night shifts in servos the north has a lot more go down and the south just likes making you feel like its about to go down. Down croydon and arndale shopping centre stuff get pretty interesting (Hanson rd is on my way to work)

"Just going to the BP on South Road for Subway officer.."

That area is getting a lot better though, lots of new houses going up where the old housing trust places used to be, esp around the Brompton area.

I worked for a company that had the contract to repair telephone box faults.
Boy was that an eye opener!!!
Every school holidays the work load would go 6 fold in both the south and north.
In Honeypot Road (south) they has servicemen out there every day. Starting with broken bits and pieces and ending up with tying it to a 4WD and pulling the box over (pulls the whole concrete slab out of the ground) then flattening the box completely.
I think it was a game and the southerners won!!
Would be cheaper overal to give everyone in Ozz a mobile phone.

Yeah, this is where the rough suburb thing doesn't stack up... I get the same sort of thing in my $500,000+, 5 mins from CBD area, kids on scooters riding around, drunks throwing VB bottles in the street, idiots doing burnouts... I have a mate in Kingston (Generally known as a bad neighbourhood in the Deep South of Bris) who lives in a quiet street, good neighbours. I'd leave my car unlocked there before I'd do it at home...
