Yes, And blue/silver nice.

I must be the only one that has never liked the Torana :
My Auntie and mother had one each, They actually owned the same one, My cousin owned 3, Mate bought one, I just never really liked them, I respected them for there performance but most of all.

I like the VE GTS. And it makes a good sound too.
Where's my usual detractors? Stevz are you there? I admitted I like a Holden, you aint going to want to miss this.

It is a sleek looking almost awkward car, but it has the balls to back it up and for that reason commands respect. When it goes past you can't help but admire the tail lights as you listen to a nice engine note. Well done Holden for that car, as said earlier in black it is a killer.

With all this Holden stuff ive often wondered why some holden people call the 1968 HK GTS 327 the "greatest Monaro" when the 1969 HT GTS 350 won bathurst too, was a faster car and won the ATCC?
Bit like Phase 2 v Phase 3?

Bathurst 1968 1-2-3 = start of the Ford/Holden wars in earnest.

Its got to be the GTS series of the late 60's for me. Its the only Holden I truly would consider my own.

But I have a soft spot for a HQ GTS 2 door Monaro as well.

Even a modified 2 door LJ with a 350 chev would sway me.

While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

My favourite old hens would have to be
EH, FC-FE
HK/T/G Monaro/Prem/Brougham or ute
HX Statesman Caprice (the model that had 350 chev and turbo 350 trans) in black!
LX Torana SS/A9X or SL/R
VE Clubsport (like the one a few pages back)

Main one was when I was a young'un my uncle had a green HG ute 327 powerglide, premier front end and 8" chromies and mexican rake, gee whiz I loved that thing

Cheers
Travis
