Actually it did create a black hole and the earth was destroyed in less than a nanosecond but the temporal compression created by the collapsing matter fields has slowed down our timeline and to us it will take 100,000,000 years before we see the effects.

But look at the good side. Finally FPVs can do a quarter mile in under mid 13s (waaaay under)

Someone teenage girl in India offed herself because of the fears of what would happen when the doomsday device was turned on - they also apparently had millions of people flock to churches to pray for our salvation.

Could be a whole new section of the Darwin Awards dedicated to the Hadron Collider.

Yeah, couldn't believe that when I read it about that indian girl. Drank a bunch of pesticide. Not quite sure what she was thinking. Even if the world did end, it would probably be a lot less painful than drinking pesticide :

It's gonna be interesting to see any results. Anyone seen the video that scientist girl, Katie McAlpine made?

Catchy and informative at the same time!! Lame as all hell, but the views have shot up like a sky rocket since people have been talking about this thing.

The funniest part is, they've been constructing it for 5 years, and it cost $10bil, but only a week before they're scheduled to fire it up are people kicking up a fuss. Retards.

Seriously, you guys honestly believe they have not fully tested this machine??

Of course they have. They arent going to publicly release its completedness without a test that it works.............

Would be an embarrassing waste of 10b dollars otherwise..

Plus, this machine does not have enough energy to conjure up a black hole worth worrying about.

Someone doesn't have an understanding when it comes to expressions.

I was at a loss at how to describe/breakdown his very abstract reply.

EDIT (hope this helps) http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/at+a+loss+for+words

Both you and Bob have something in common! You've both embarrassed yourselves as a result of having a crack at other people!

Ok...

People don't just make random assumptions like that, it's quite obvious that he would of got that information from a credible source and then restated it.

Your whole logic here is what is baffling me (and making you look foolish).
People learn things form credible sources such as scientists, teachers, books and various other things.

Where do you think he got that information from?

I'll take a guess. The scientists would have told the media/public that the Hadron wasn't capable of making a blackhole, and he's restated this.

Yet for some reason (interlect) you disregard this most obvious factor.

EDIT: He doesn't need to test it himself, he's heard the information from a credible source.

When you buy a car it's crash tested (the model of course) and given safety ratings and all that.
I guess they don't exist unless you test it yourself by driving it into a wall?

Umm, every scientist has stated these exact words, including the countless case studies that have been made on this machine.........

I think i would listen to the guys with the brains, rather than those ASSUMING its a doomsday device (Aka Y2K... etc)...

You do know that Assume makes an A$$ of u and me bob???

I say take Illavitars advise, and think before posting crap, and embarrassing yourself...
