Well I'm well into round #2 of the saga now , took a weeks holiday to get on top of things only to have the Mrs. come down crook however got her tucked into bed and of the the shed I went,(driveway actually ) It appears that I am not the only one who reckons AUs are a great place to be in

Made a fair start on it today, as for the "How To Guide" I would seriously forget about it unless your fairly competent with the spanners, as if its not done rite it could result in some serious damage
Heads going on

Push rod and lifter retainers back on

Port matched inlet Nice

Here"s a test for the older gang, who remembers the Bay City Rollers and who coined the Phrase Bay City Roller Rockers & why ?

Should be just about done by tomorrow night then
On the plus side 4 months of driving trucks and the Mrs. kia Rio even if it runs on 6 cylinders it will still feel quick

Good work whoosh, I tend to agree about the how to - whilst I would love to be able to do things like this (really want to put a cam in mine), my skills are just not good enough to do it without risking a lot of expense and damage.

Some things are best left to those 'in the know'.

Hi Whoosh. One question, may I ask what you used to clean up the head surfaces on the block in preparation for the new head gaskets and reconditioned heads? Have heard a few different theories.

B2tf..with my 220 I carnt see the cost or power benefit of going with another cam, while I love the lumpy idle, I still only run the Unichip so get full advantage from it I would need a Xcal box and a descent AU tuner, that would blow another Grand on the the cost and I doubt I would get that much advantage time wise from it, looking through the list of times an mods around maybe 2 to3 /10ths on a good day.

Opened and riced talk about a down hill spiral must be male menopause or some thing Actually I have had the car since new and it has done 100000 ks now, and checking all the hoses ex.t they'er showing signs of fatigue and as I had the BLU stuff sitting there (FREE ) I thought it would be a good chance to change it all over (easy with half the motor out of the road) Once the engine cover is back on it should hide most of it
anyway back to it
