Dont forget we're talking about GM "claimed" crankshaft power level's here.
I've seen dyno results in the 280's for their claimed 375 KW W427 and that wasn't even on a proper Mainline dyno.

Over in the US they're claiming that they 'usually' get ~330rwkw from stock cadillac CTS-V autos and ~340 for the manuals Maybe there was something wrong with old matey's in the video? Maybe it is something to do with aussie fuel vs USA fuel or something. Who knows?

http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...g/viewall.html

That article's got a bit of info on the difference between the CTS-Vs engine and the one used in the Camaro/VF GTS, and talks about some of the mods to the CTS-V over in the states, since some of you seem interested.

Hey mate, don't speak too loudly, I've lined up a TT M5 in Geelong a couple of times now.

Bloke behind Burson's owns one.

He beats me (but not by much) to 100km/h ..less than a car length.

He has more kw but I have more torque oh... and twin turbos as well...

Agera? Nah...missus wants to take the dog...

What email address did you use? I don't think they allow gmail, hotmail type addresses. Needs to be an ISP email address.

Hotmail man. Why would they do that?

Anyway, lets take that CTS-V figure and add it up to the GTS' claimed 430kw:

Doing ye olde 17% drivetrain loss, 291kw + a generous 17% loss for drivetrain nets 340kw, maybe they got their numbers around the wrong way? lol

It's part of their T&Cs, and helps keep out the weeds i suppose!!

If they're producing less than the FPVs, it won't look good for HSV... On the other hand, i much prefer the look, interior and tech of the new GTS over the FPV GT... Here's hoping the next GT will look a lot better, and have the tech to go with it.

more like 20-25%.

Make that 25-30%

I said generous.

BTW, anyone notice some toyota 86 in the tail lights?

Aside from the inner angles being opposite, and a couple extra LED's.

The 86 looks tougher too.

More on that comment though, the M5 and a lot of the germans - you pay for the complete package. An M5 will comfortably sit at 280 on the Autobahn all day, most of the cars on this forum won't. (Not having a dig, but personally I wouldn't want to sit at 250+ in a falcon when it really wasn't engineered for that on a sustained level)
