Used a chainsaw for the first time today and cut down three dead trees on our property.

Rather dangerous equipment, I can see how it goes pear shaped easily.

Feels good to learn something new and come out of it with all my fingers.

I hope you wore all the necessary safety gear, had the appropriate certification and completed a JSA for the task?

What are Jandals?

Sounds something similar to Chinese safety shoes (aka Thongs)

I was made redundant by a major multinational a few years ago, nothing to do with my performance ( it was political) I recently won a big contract from them and today I get a phone call from a guy that works for them requesting a meeting with me to negotiate a deal which will allow them to keep the work on a subcontracted basis on our behalf. I asked if the guy that made me redundant was still working there and he said yes.
I had great delight in telling him that as long as that sack of **** was working there i will ensure they won't get a cent of subcontracted work from me

The Karma bus doing its rounds !

First week of Optifast and I've dropped 5kgs in a week. I usually weigh myself in the morning after dump, so interested to see what it says tomorrow...but I couldn't wait till then to find out. Stoked! 1 week down, 11 to go. Bring it!

Feelgood today: Nothing sweeter than the sound of a GTF taking off & burning down the road at 6.30 in the morning when all is quiet.....

And.... you will get there! I did this about 24 years ago & lost 24 kilos! Once you get there, you wonder why you didn't do it sooner. And the best part - you feel good from the inside because you know you are doing it for yourself!

Funny you say that, on Sunday I had a kip on the couch as we actually got all 4 our our monsters (I mean treasures, 4 under 6 years) asleep after lunch.

I went asleep/passed out for an hour or so and it was awesome.

The little things.
