Everest is the pick of the segment, the subtle changes on the series 2 really make it look good.

If they added a long range tank to it, it would be absolutely perfect. Trend especially is really good value.

I remember reading that Holden have committed to a smaller import volume for Acadia at this stage, hoping to avoid overstocking like ZB Commodore / Equinox / Astra.

So the "official" line is that dealers are supply limited.

Yes good post DFB,

Ideally you launch the product, and you have stock on hand to satisfy the tyre kickers, and then they order.

The only problem is, your competition has floor stock.

Absolutely.
Other markets probably don't see the need but maybe a dealer fit aftermarket option in the future?
That might be a lot easier to execute in our market than squeezing Ford to add a big tank option..

Certainly can pick it from the rest of the Ford range.
The 2-row Endura is a nice vehicle but I was hoping that Ford would
also build the Chinese Edge 3-row version for global export.

More like they have woken up to the fact that they are going to sell in much more realistic numbers than the hyper inflated numbers they originally used for Equinox, Astra and Commodore.

When the Equinox was released Holden were hoping it was going to be a top 3 seller in that segment and ordered accordingly. It barely even scrapes into the top 10 with volumes less than half what they were expecting, leaving massive supplies of them sitting on grass.

Maybe they have finally realised that just throwing a Holden badge onto anything doesn't mean it will sell. It's not the 90's anymore.

Buttner would have schooled them on this. He's no corporate GM dummy where numbers are the be all and end all, and the Holden badge is the pride of Australia. Those times are over.

I agree, Everest is probably class leader. I wonder if Ford Aust. were able to sell double could they get the stock? Cannot help but wonder if the original prices were set closer to what you really pay today it would be fighting much closer to Prado.

I cannot understand how this wasn't the plan also..it just gives you greater market scope and if it was export-only then Ford N/A which be safe as it has the Explorer to build/sell/protect whereas in China they import the Explorer.

If anyway is interested the Chinese 2.7LV6 Ecoboost 7 seater Edge averages 14L/100km in real world Chinese city driving which is what my old G6ET averaged at 20km/hr avg speed around Melb...so I would be OK with that FORD.
