While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

Price?

$17,000 - Shannon's were fine insuring it for that amount.

Red book says around $14,000 with average kilometres.

When I saw how mint it was I knew it was going to be mine.

As I'm in my 70s, this ute will see me out unless the chicks get me first.

BTW, It has the old iPod thingy built in and it just so happens that's what I wuz using in my Fairlane.

It hooks up fine in the FG

It plays both types of music - country AND western

Checked tyre pressures today.

All 32 psi, even the spare.

All tyres are brand new, Diamond something -never heard of them.

A gratuitous **** shot.

Oh dear...Diamondback? Made in China, Jax tyres have them for less than $100 each.

He probably fitted all new tyres so you couldn't see how badly it needs a wheel alignment on the front and how his burnouts wore out the rears

Yeah that's them.

They are oarsum.

BTW, the bloke what owned it became ill and subsequently died in April and his daughter stored the ute under a car cover in a carport in Brisbane.

She doesn't have a driver's licence herself, so I may take your advice (seeing as I am feeling adventurous) and get the alignment checked.

UPDATE:

I think this is them

OK so the grass needs mowing, but I'd rather be cruisin' for chicks and cake; although not necessarily in that order.

In my experience, (and yes there has been some), his good lady wife, just ignores him and she has told me so.
