Small milk bottles for us school kids in Vic (early 60's) what years and which state did you receive milk plastic satchels?

Oh our milk was warm if left in sun for too long before collection. yuck!

correct, fist I heard of satchels back in the days.
I'm late 60's/70's primary school and it was small glass bottles in crates.
Morning tea times, whoever managed the milk delivery buggered up somedays for yes the sun got to it ruined it obviously and the birds at times.
When you struck it when fresh cold it was superb.
No flash school government public those days sydney based.
Poor hayseed lol....

Same for me in Sydney. Forced fed this stuff, no wonder I have had Lactose intolerance Asthma since 11.

i was milk monitor for 3 years in NZ primary school, loved the real milk and the glass bottles.
Can still very easily enjoy milk produced by a cow, not some f....in factory adulterated stuff

Luckily I have friends who bless my taste buds when in their area.

I started School in 1971.In a Small N.S.W. rural Village School of 40 Kids.
The bigger one were on a roster to walk up to the Train Station (couple of Ks) to collect the Milk. It would be in a couple of Milkcrates in the Guards van with the local Mail & whatever Freight they had..

My #4 sister was temping at Arnotts in sydney many moons ago, they made a run of chicken toobs. They were great but very few people remember them.

You can actually buy bottled milk from harris farm, they bottle it instore.

Also remember school banning “flavoured straws” (choc, strawberry etc) that many kids used to make the warm tepid milk drinkable

Terry toweling bucket style sun hats.
saw a family of 6 yesterday all wearing them, hey appeared to be from a time warp everything about them eas just old but the kids were school age. maybe one of those weird sects.

That reminds me of the 1 and only time my kid ever got a kinder surprise. The surprise wasnt the toy in the middle. It was when my kid said 'dad i dont feel....' then projectile vomited all through the front of my work van.

oi howz this, driving along and a van pulls up beside you, sliding door opens and a dude in there asks you if you want to buy surround sound system, speakers etc....

totally legit, these guys use to go around selling stuff for a company via their van...

i miss that
