There were nice GT's too, a couple of N/A earlier model 6's, only 1 AU v8 from memory. :

Matt has it all sorted now but it was a shame after 2 weeks of rebuilding the engine with go fast bits just for today he couldn't put a number down..

So I still win (lose)? hahaha I feel so pathetic. As if the sound of a clutch fan on the dyno isn't bad enough.

Bubs,

I have to agree, boy didn't he come out of left field..... but I have to admit the "non-Ford" class was always going to be a tough one. Still you girl did you proud mate. And I agree.... it was worth going today just to meet up with John and his brand new super pursuit.... heaven help us all when he gets her run in and sorted out :

cheers

Peter

As I don't want to see this thread hijacked let me make it clear that as far as Vic was concerned we agreed to allow the G&D Ute to run in the non Ford class with full eligibility for State level awards and the fact that it won is a credit to their efforts and nothing more.

The vehicle is not (therefore) eligible for the National award as it was a purely Vic based decision and should not be allowed to influence the overall result.

The primary aim of the day is a social event to meet other members and have some fun and I would hate to see the whole thing taken in too serious a vein. There are plenty of full fledged dyno comps for those who wish to take it that seriously.

Regards
Russ

had a terrific time in NSW at Autotech and came home with the runners up in class 2 despite running 5rwkw shy of my best run. Interesting 144rwkw at 19 degrees and today at 29 degrees only 139rwkw.

We must do this again but do some better promotion get some mag sponsers and fill up all the spots as it was a fun day and a great idea.

Class 2 in NSW could have done with a few more entries thats for sure.

There is lots of competition between workshpos up here in Sydney for the business and dyno days are pretty frequent.

All of us on the AFF should put in a bit more effort next year to work this into a really big event.

Just wanted to say thanks to the administrators for organising the day, I had a good time, met some like minded rev heads, even a couple of us old farts hanging around. : .

Have to say it did make me smile when my girl went onto the rollers..... after all those noisy V8's : ... some buggers where even asking if she was turned on....... until the loud pedal was pushed..... :

pity we did not get some more of the WA regs turn up.... in fact the day seemed to be dominated by the 6's..... still again want to thank all that did.... and the snags were not too bad either : Finally the lads at Australian Performance .... did a great job!

cheers

Peter

All the Vic video is up now - apologies if some of the names are incorrect but I will amend them when advised. These are all shortened from the full length clips so if anyone wants the full length ones and can handle emails of 5-6 Mb just PM me.

Cheers
