Mafia, are you for real?
Maybe the cement from those boots has found its way to your head.
Who gives a dam about the bloody car? Two people have died here and you come out with this BS. There is no-one on this forum that knows the exact circumstances of this accident, yet everyone seems to be an expert.

Do you think the families and friends of these people care what sort of car they were in?

Comments like this are a disgrace to this forum, but more importantly, you’re a disgrace to yourself.

And if any mods have a problem with this post, f***ing ban me.

I couldn't careless about the driver but the poor girl that suffer from the stupid driver mistake. She was at the wrong place at the wrong time. The accident sound familiar to the movie don't you think! out:

I knew the bloke, do yourself a favour and keep your "low life" comments to yourself, he and his passenger are dead now.

People do stupid things, i know i have in the past, and i can say i have been close to catastrophe before, but unfortunatley Paul and his passenger died.

Racing on public roads is a stupid thing to do, and this highlights it !

I concur - how many of you would stick the foot in a little bit given the type of car and passenger - absolutley dumb thing to do no doubt and he should have known better at 33 years of age, but people make mistakes and he has payed the ultimate price, I feel very sorry for the 22 year old girl.

The posters denigrating the experience and or qualifications of the driver should hang their heads in shame. The only difference between the driver and yourself is that the driver was unlucky in this instance; as opposed to you being lucky the last time you sped on a public road and are thusly here to tell the tail.
I don't believe writing things such as "what a waste of a car" etc are anything to be proud of. Please bear in mind that a young man and a young woman have died; he was probably someones brother, son, father, uncle, nephew etc. She was probably a sister to someone, daughter, girlfriend, cousin. No dollar value will ever replace them and comparisons to the cars retail value are the height of immaturity.

Before someone tries to feebly flame me for this viewpoint try a little empathy for the victims' families. To those who are too stupid to know what empathy is, that is putting yourself in their shoes. I respectfully submit that if any detractors were in the position of the families they'd see things differently. As for the driver, I don't believe he set out to do this deliberately whereby he lost his and a girl lost her life.

For all of the times I have been lucky on the road, in the air etc; I have alot of sympathy for someone and their family who has paid the ultimate price.
Rest in Peace.

There was a delivery driver at the servo this morning when I was filling up saying that cops came to his house and checked out his car as well. They are pretty keen to find the driver!

Not entirely sure what he could be charged with... Pretty sure that dangerous driving causing death wouldn't be an option in this case... any police/prosecutions types out there?

I can assure you the Police are very keen to talk to any witness and the driver of the vehicle mentioned.
Putting all liability to one side its actually an offence to leave the scene of an accident without rendering assistance.
Make no mistake this is a serious tradgedy where 2 people lost their lives.
As a potential eye witness or participant in the alleged events they have some significant hurdles to overcome, the very least of which will be a id assume a coronial inquest, where the coroner may determine this driver contributed to the others deaths and refer the matter to the DPP.

It has already been posted that posts degrading to the driver or deceased won't be tolerated

There have been a few members who knew them and have posted, show them and the people involved some respect. No matter what has happened, it is a loss of life

Any more posts of this nature will be deleted, in particular those like Mafia's post

I know 2 guys from club racing that own Ferraris. They are both middle aged and far more capable drivers than me. My blood ran cold when I heard of this accident; while I was very relieved that none of them were killed it is still a tragedy for those that lost their life.

The people that I have met with Ferraris are the older 355, 550, 575 models (and some of them are damn fast!).

Even d around that area and had a car like it you could flat out deny it and they could do nothing.

Its even possible that the ford driver didn't even know they crashed, was the ferrari ahead or behind etc etc...

But whoever it was would be feeling a bit strange right now.

edit: also it wont help that the ford driver possibly is in some crap, so if the police said that depending on the circumstances that nothing would happen then that person would be more likely to come forward you would think.

Unless of course there is some red on his/her car.

What a waste all around..young bloke, young girl and lovely car. Sympathy to the family and friends.

It does explain why the constabulary appeared very interested in my car at the traffic lights yesterday afternoon though....

I was just thinking that...

All Ford owners with a vehicle of this type and colour will be getting looked over right, left and center....

But a 22 year old innocent female who just happened to go for a ride in the car as she was admiring it - thats a tradgedy

Airbags deploying at terminal velocity will do nothing...

On the other side of the coin, the Falcon Driver may have seen nothing..racing at that kind of speed, you could be 200+ metres down the road in seconds and unless your constantly looking arround for your opponent...Having said that, the driver should take themselves into the station and save some face..

Cant belive it the 22 y.o was from my home town, i didn't know her but it still sends a chill up your spine, feel for you Cam sorry for your loss if you were friends with the driver.

As for the Falcon it could have been anything from an XT to a GT-P there are that many striped up BA's around!

its very sad that 2 people lost their lifes
this reinforces the fact that you cant expect someone to buy a supercar or any fast car (be it a fpv, hsv, ferrari, lambo etc) and not expect them to open it up given the chance
the driver would have known the potential of the car and if i owned the car i would open it up every now and again too.

there should be a criteria to a car that if it meets a certain performance the driver should at least be given a advanced driver training course at least. this may encourage the driver to open it up but this could also encourage the driver to be a frequent at track days and it will give the driver extended knowledge given the situation he put himself in.

the ferrari is a whole lot of car and is more advanced than 90 percent of drivers on the road.

and driving at every day speeds of 60k's wont make you any more experianced when going 200+k's than someone who has half the experiance.
there is alot to learn by driving on the everyday streets but this will contribute very little to drivers doing double the speed limit.

wake up to yourself politics people speed and there is nothing you can do about it. train the people and encourage them to go to tracks to ease the temptation dont just put more speed cameras.
