Has anyone seen or does anyone know if you can get a lip spoiler on the G6E models? I cant see them on Ford's website as an option but I think it would look good!

Yeah but the FG lip spoiler might fit. Remember the rear guards are the same so the outer edge of the boot lid must be the same profile as the FG. You would need to try it on.

I've thought about getting mine without a rear spoiler (black XR8).

Anyone else think this would look the goods lowered?

Will look better than the factory spoiler

Imo it sticks out too much and is too flat

Yeah not overly wrapped but I think it will grow on me.. F6 spoiler would look good if it fits alright, GT would be an overkill IMO with no kit.

All I'm thinking is if I don't like it off can always put it on, would have it delivered in the boot ready to go..

Dunno whether to do it or not better make my mind up soon!

I've always thought the rear end of every Falcon of the last ~20 years has been too round at the end to go without a spoiler, and they look flaccid unadorned. The FG X might be better in that regard, due to the sharper tail light assembly, but I still think its edges are too round, too soft to go without a spoiler. Also, black does a good job of hiding porkiness...

Then again I don't think the factory spoiler is bad by any stretch, either. Removing the spoiler also makes it easier to look at everything you're leaving in the distance behind you...

i saw my first G6E Turbo yesterday. From the rear I wasnt sure what it was, the rear lights looked good. The side panels a bit plain but love the front grill.

I doubt you will be able to order it with the spoiler not fitted. Also I think An F6 spoiler would look the goods or a lip spoiler similar to the BA DJR 320.

Yeah bootlip spoiler or no spoiler at all would look better IMO.

Still haven't seen a single FGX on the road.........how long have they been out now?

Here's a question for the owners of a new FG X: What car did you come from, and how does the road noise compare? While driving along some torrid residential roads (with corrugations and other bumps and nonsense) today, I became all too aware of how noisy the BF riding on 18s is. How does the FG platform - and particularly the FG X XR8 on 19s - compare?

I came from a FG, with a BA and AU III before that.

The FG and FG-X are noticeably more refined with less road noise. That said, the larger the wheels, the more noise in the cabin.

Well my FG suddenly looks old :( Today walking beside the on-ramp to the Harbour Bridge I saw a silhouette FGX XR8 heading northward. It looked friggin awesome and so much better than the orange one at Bathurst. Even the rear end looked better than I expected. BTW I saw a white FGX taxi yesterday too and it looked good from the front.
Well done Ford.

I saw my first FGX on the road today! Was a blue XR6, I got so excited when I realised what it was.

Visited a dealer today for various reasons and got a good gander at a gold XR6T, and a regular XR6....to be honest I spotted a G6E and zoomed right in, they look sensational, not tough, but smart, modern and classy. The XR's just didn't stand out in the yard the same way.

Well, I found out yesterday that there is finally another XR8 on the road in Canberra. It was apparently delivered at the end of December.
Now there will be another one out there flying the flag.

I will have to keep my eyes peeled for it.

Cheers.
Garry.

Those Dunlops dont help. Not the worse tyre on the market but they sure are noisy (especially on the ute).

Yep, have had several tyres on the FG, and the Dunlops are the worst in terms of noise.

Dose anyone know what the current hold up is at ford? I read in another thread or possibly this one (I can't find it) that there is a possible parts supplie issue. Had confirmation that my XR8 is finally built after a long wait however it has gone offline in the factory awaiting to be finished. ETA has been pushed back a week also. Any ideas?

Cheers Ryan
