Some good news though, dealer is going to look after me with a loan car so at least I have something to get me round while I wait.

Sounds like you have a good dealer. Nothing from mine, and no reply to my emails this week. My wife bought me a personalised rego for Xmas too. The rego would look stupid on anything else but an XR8. Everything is crossed!

Don't know yet. They're organising it this week. Not too worried what it is. I would expect one of their wholesale cars, but it matters not to me, as long as I have a car.

You guys are going through the same process as GTF and Pursuit buyers, except you got to see yours earlier

Seeing as they build more white cars then any any other the chances are greater. Lightning strike is the next common colour.

Went in to my Ford dealer today to find out if they have my allocation yet on my XR8. Got the usual speel, still no response from Ford on allocations ,said the ford rep was there yesterday, still no info, sales manager said they can't even get allocations on the rest of falcon range.!!! Also said they had 11 orders for xr8 and not taking any more deposits as they reckon they won't fill the orders they have. No wonder we don't see many new Falcons on the road, probably crunching the numbers so they can shut the gates early?

Update -Sales manager rang this morning with good news, allocations finally came in this morning. Scored a June / July build on my XR8, they got 9 allocations all up which they were very happy with, I can stop stressing out now that I scored one ,very happy that I will get one of the last Ford v8s

You'll love it, got mine yesterday. The most powerful car I've had to date is the I6 in my BF MkII, and this thing is a beast. The power is awesome, the sound addictive. I think I'll block off the bi-modal valve, as it goes between quiet and loud in a weird on/off way that makes me feel disconnected. Would rather it be the bi-modal than me!

I saw a Kinetic next to it, and I think the Smoke is the better looker. It is darker than I anticipated, a good in between of my wife's Territory in Mercury Silver and my BF in Ego. With a dark tint, I think it'll look tits!

The auto makes it a great cruiser, but the sequential sure gave me some smiles last night when I took her for a belt.

Have seen a few smoke pics and looks dark without a lot of light but then looks fantastic with lights shines on it making it a lighter grey. Will be interested to see how it compares to my current FGX MkII F6 as it is a beast and a fantastic car.

Sorry, didn't want to be a forum hog! Some pics I took last night.

Getting the tint, Opti Coat and Opti Guard on Monday, so I'll take some better shots after that.

Now that I have it, when can I do a track day or take it somewhere for a bit of fun? I saw there was a cruise to Hinze Dam, may have to tag along.

Looks nice, just noticed you had a floor mat in the passenger side...was the other mats standard or did the dealer throw them in the deal, and i assume the XR8 has the wheel lock nuts standard?....they're the two main accessories i would like to see standard at least.

My dealer rang me today to tell me my September 2014 ordered Smoke manual XR8 now has been allocated a build number and scheduled to be built in April. He mentioned 2 things of note, 1 due to the xmas/new year shut down, Ford were 2 weeks behind where they should be and 2 he has taken deposits on 15 Mustangs.

Ballsy, but I'm with you, it should look good. But these renditions tend to look nothing like the actual colour. Have ordered an XR8 in kinetic but this could tempt me to change.

Nup, had to pay for the mats. Driver comes as standard, but the mat set comes with another drivers mat. Fine with me, this is the one that will need replacing well before the rest.

Lock nuts were used on my BF MkII, swapped them over last night in the rain as they don't come on the car at all.

Very excited, have notification from dealer with vista screenshot that my car is scheduled for build 27/3/15 and delivery 18/4/15. Silhouette XR8 manual based on order made on 3/10/14 and placed within the system on 13/10/14. Two months to go......

Anyone good who does Opti-coat in WA? Tempted by this product but want it done right.
