Haha.......i've heard that before as they are different (not better, just a bit unique). It's great to drive, not fast by any means but goes ok and so tactile.

I'm sure will cost me money but it's been looked after so I might get lucky!!

I don't have pics of it but it basically looks identical to this

Cheers mate!

That is literally identical outside our Tassie number plates (I'd put a black one on)

I think a good looking car. (get pretty cheap too as no one wants Alfas etc)

Completely standard. 80Ks. One older owner. All receipts.

Wanted 15 but negotiated to 12 subject to full inspection (No roadworthy required in Tassie on transfer)

I was always impressed by the styling of these cars. The maintenance factor was one thing that scared me though.

Glad to see you back though mate. Missed your posts

Hey Mercury, here's something that may help you out. Each day I send to my workgroup a list of the Health and Safety incidents from the previous day. To add a bit of spice, I also include a motivational quote for the day. This was today's quote, and thought it quite fitting for your circumstances:

Some people around you will not understand your journey. They don't have to; it's not for them.

No one else is in your situation. IMHO, there's little point in having money available for when, or if, you are ill but not looking after yourself in the meantime. If a new car is what makes you happy (and you can afford it), then why not!

Enjoy the ride, my friend.

ok good having had a V6 166 I'm officially a gluton for punishment Enthusiast
Beautiful car, the seats were brilliant, sound handling till the gremlins came along.
Bloody aircon condensor failed, thats right behind the dash and other things, had enough flogged it off.
Love the current models and I could be lured back for new unishment
Good luck Merc and enjoy nice therapy whilst it behaves.

So the Alfa has a few issues.

Thing is workshops overplay so I need to be careful.

Coopers on Tassie is a big name.

My R36 has a leaking "rocker gasket". Told to fix asap.

Took it for second opinion (I won't name and he said yeah it's not perfect at 205Ks but it's fine. Just leave it.)

HOWEVER I was told if don't fixed blow the engine etc (880) so I have no faith In industry - it's getting worse.

Drove a VE Maloo today.

Gee it sounded great.......amazing.

75K they want - LOL.

I drove off in my old crap R36 (to many) and a far better steer. Not as loud or fast bit basically everything better and 10 years older......

Very poorly put together car. Like the engineers were learning

Sorry Gasolane that is my fault.

I guess buying another car has been a form of "therapy" for me hence the thread derailed.

My apologies.

As Gasolane said I'll wrap up my car nonsense but I will say it's been the best week I've had in mths.

Just feel a step fwd in being "normal" again. Not miserable actually excited about life in some way.

But as my fault my responsibility to say sorry to all and focus on depression matters not cars.

Thanks all.

sorry to hear that merc. i hope you get the help you need. go and see a head doctor. i did , and it helps, and doctors can help point out some things causing issues, that you may be unaware of.

my little journey started with a visit to the G.P. for and unrelated issue, i told the doc i was a bit down and that i was going to smoke some weed to cheer up, well the doc said not to do that. after further talking i was clearly upset about some things that were stilling on my mind for a while. he said to get out and exercise , take these pills and see a head doctor. i did see the other doctor and all good now. but things creep up on you , it,s important to talk and don,t sit around feeling sorry for yourself.
well thats my expert opinion as a boilermaker/ psychiatrist. i hope this helps. good luck with it!

Thanks Piston.

Just letting everyone know that was my psycho Ex who wrote that - she grabbed my phone when outside. (She is still in the house)

I've only just read the posts so don't worry all and I'll remember not to leave my phone open.

Cheers Merc.

We don't speak.

She can't afford a place so she grabs my phone and writes all sorts of **** to girls I'm talking to as well.

The Alfa I haven't bought yet until the issues have been confirmed by my mate. (he's on holidays)

almost a month since the last post in here, hope everyone is doing well or at least working towards doing ok.

I spent a few weeks on jury duty for a traumatic case. I have spoken to my counsellor since the trial finished, I took a few days off work - spent one napping and watching tv, then got out of the house and in the sunshine for some exercise, caught up with friends and did the self care thing, also drank too much alcohol (I have been warned not to self medicate and carry on with the drinking long term).

I am on heart medication now, i have been for 2 months

I no longer feel anxious and everybody has noticed the difference.

My BP was 170/112 previous trip to the doctor, last week it was 128/79 so this medication works and this White Coat Syndrome i convinced myself i had, was just a smokescreen after all.

I would have had a stroke for sure if i didnt change my thinking process.
