I saw 3 XR8s just yesterday, white is just beautiful. I so want one but don't like being in debt for cars, is Ford doing 1.9% finance on them yet?

I agree Grant, its the most fluid looking. The front looks great but im still not sold on it flowing front to back. The utes in general work the best for me. But then the FG looks great with a tray as well.

I saw a new XR8 the other day and I only spotted it because of the old-school V8 rumble I heard and looked back to see what it was. I was very impressed and envious of the sound it made. Reminded me of an old F-150 in my area.

Well I've only just recently spotted 2 FGXs in Canberra on top of the one I saw in Townsville last year.
At least future value around here is guaranteed because there is bugger all or I'm just blind |

I was slowly overtaken by a black XR6 Turbo ute on the Sturt Highway between Gawler and Nuriootpa last week. I had a great opportunity to look at it. My opinion is that it looks a bit bland from the back like all the utes are (IMO of course) but from the front it was really menacing looking. I definitely think that the FG-X model looks better in darker colours, especially from the front. I really like the DRLs in the XR headlights.

There has been some discussion about replacing the XR grille with G6E.
I did a search on the forum but couldn't find it. I know there was a bloke who got an XR8 and had the dealer do the swap. I have a XR6 ute and I rang my local Ford dealer to get prices on the grilles. Upper grille $403.18 Lower grille $186.57 Spare parts guy also said that the part number for the XR6 bumper and G6E bumper are different but didn't know if that would need to be swapped over as well. Has anyone done the swap and know exactly what's involved and how much fettling is required? |

unless you are after the chrome grille, the xt grille is the same just in black & its a straight swap, no new bumper needed

City to Country So far I've replaced the T10 Warm White parking light and boot light bulbs with Cool White LEDs from jaycar. Warm White for interior lighting and Cool White for exterior and non-human interactive lighting. Speaking of grills, the FGX XR6 models no longer have the side badging but come standard with scuff plates. FGX G-series owners I'm curious what do they look like?

I've never been much into the tech, but have realised there can be fun to be had in more than just the driving.......
Waiting for the first passenger to notice. |

Gutted! I had placed an order for a manual kinetic xr8 a month or so ago, I got a phone call the other day telling me that ford are no longer making XR8 manuals...only autos from now on...that or nothing. If anyone knows of any kinetic manuals please let me know! Will travel out of the state!

It would seem weird to have no manuals in an model that states manual transmission 'as standard' with the auto as an optional extra
