I'm not a big talker on the phone - usually takes me less than a minute to convey what I've got to say. Usually goes like "hey mate it's Dave, you want me to pick you up on the way to Johno's on Saturday around 7pm?" Answer is a pretty brief yeah or no.
I ring the ex (whom I really great friends with) to see how she's going - **** me it's a 15 minute phone call with all the in's and out's of a ducks ***! When I was married to her, I'd get home from work and just wanted to skull two stubbies of ice cold beer before talking to anyone, then I'd be "chillaxed" and ready for the yak with the Mrs. I don't hate that, but ffs - a bloke needs that 1/2 hour of space. Cheers!

Toss pots like "Professor Todor Vasiljevic from Melbourne's Victoria University"...
http://food.ninemsn.com.au/assetslid...assetid=449519 Tomato sauce is an interesting one... I can't think of one place (pub / cafe / take away joint) that keeps bottled tomato sauce in the fridge. 2-3 weeks shelf life?? Really?? I think a 600ml bottle lasts me a year.. actually, just checked my near empty Colway brand sauce and there isn't even an expiry date on it (worn off perhaps???) pfffft... He then suggests that it's a great idea to refrigerate fruits when cut.. who doesn't know this?? Spreads!!!! Vegemite and Peanut Butter need to be kept cold? Hang on, I had better call Craft and tell them to recall all their Vegemite and print new labels. What Aussie puts Vegemite in the bloody fridge?? Never refrigerate bread... no worries, I'll just eat half the loaf and toss the rest caus you said so... To me fresh herbs are best kept in the fridge.. but the prof seems to think leaving them out is fine. Wonder how long some oregano leaves or parsley will keep when left out??? I bet he uses hand sanitizer on a daily basis... just in case of course!

Yes to all the above Yellow, but I do keep my Promite/Vegemite in the fridge. Force of habit as my Mum did the same.
This could be a game changer in life - after all I've never seen a jar of that stuff go "off" no matter how old it is. Cheers!

Pops Tomato Sauce recommends refrigeration after opening, but we often don't. (never heard of it? try it. 88% Tomato's and no preservatives)
Our Vegemite and Peanut Butter is in the Pantry. We often freeze Bread, as do a lot of café's and corner stores Don't know about the herbs...they're way to healthy sounding for me

Mates, sad to say I keep a lot of my opened stuff in the fridge, as being single, the tucker might be hanging around for a while - even the vegemite.
When my family first came to Oz back in the 70's (from Pommyland), I imagine a lot of stuff was kept in cupboard that should have been kept in the fridge, hence I seemed to pick up the odd 'wog'

C'mon, lets face it, most of the stuff they have to say is pretty boring anyway, that's why they have girlfriends, so they can all talk about me together!

Stick peanut butter in the fridge and then try and spread that stuff on a nice new fresh piece of bread, after you have ripped holes all through it chuck it in the bin with the peanut butter..!!!

I've seen Vegemite go off. If its been in the cupboard 20 odd years you'll need a sledge hammer to get through the crystallisation on top.

I hate when your car as an intermittent problem and it never produces the symptom when you take it to the mechanics, instead have to run the gauntlet of making the noises yourself and hand gestures to get your point across when you find out to only be talking to the apprentice who has no idea whats going on....

Masterchef, X Factor, The Block etc etc. how freaking long can they string out those series?? Had to sit through the end of X Factor to watch what was on afterwards, they've been down to the final 6 contestants for what seems like several weeks. When will this drivel end?? January??
And Big Brother back again!!! God damn, I hate those shows so much especially when they run over time and delay following programs. A pox on them all!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor transport planning to major events in your city.
Exiting failures at newly installed paid parking areas.

X Factor is done for the teeny voting. Big money spinner as they know they will be able to these younguns sucked in on their phones.
Masterchef and all those cooking shows are turning out wannabechefs all over the place. Recently had a Jamie Oliver restaurant open in our city of Adelaide and the reservations to try and get in there is beyond ridiculous. A majority of the ladies are obsessed with Jamie Oliver and his cooking abilities. The block - I cannot stand all the crap filled drama leading up to the final result, its mind numbing. I tend to tune in right at the last segment when they do the reveal. That's all Im interested in, not the crap leading up to it, not the million commercials tied to it, not the preamble garbage or the struggles of how they came about, I do not care. Just show me the final result and let me move on with my night.

99% of the time a customer will bring their car in with an intermittant problem, and it won't do it while its at the shop and it won't throw codes either when you scan it, you have to keep the car for ages and drive it, which the customer usually can't do because they need the car for getting to work. The car won't play up when we have it, but when they get it back it starts playing up again. Its bad when its not something common as if you've worked on a few with that problem you generally know what it is but when you're flying blind its no good. |

Geez I hate that.
