With the coronavirus, I think more car dealers will close. Because car imports will dry up as production ends. Sad times ahead.

Holden can't offer 10 years for all dealerships. Basically they will run the 5 years out then they will decrease footprint again as demand reduces.

Media beat up, who still uses dealer servicing after the warranty runs out anyway?
There's not much point in providing a service which will be taken up by a minority in reality. But, I guess if your looking to grind your axe then a handful of people not being able to have a 'Holden' stamp in their service book may be just the remedy.. |

Having dealt with Holden purchasing department in the past showed me that the GM organisation was toxic.

I have to say I was very Pi---- off when I read that the Australian Government had given GMH millions of dollars only to learn that most of that money went over to Detroit.
If Detroit knew they would close the GMH Plant in Adelaide why didn't they sell GMH to the Australian Government in the first place? We could still be making Holden's in Australia and all those people that worked there wouldn't have lost there jobs. |

If there is enough demand they could possibly be servicing for 10yrs, however, not too many people keep their cars for 10yrs these days and so you'd have to look at the terms to see if the 7yrs is transferrable, if not, the demand at the end of 2025 would be relatively low. |

This is merely your opinion not everyone has to agree with it, and an attitude change on your part would be helpful as well.

Shocking moderating.
He-she had a go at me......Ghia name even worse. Mummy. The HSV Maloo is awesome. Ford's are very lame in comparison. It's hardly comparable. Is that ok? |

Actually I reckon the Ford utes looks very easy on the eye! Especially the FG model.
And you can do what they were originally designed for......Put a load in the back!

a standard base model ute has just over 1 tonne though, which is around 250kg more than the opposition.

Also you'll pay more in the amount in tolls in Melbourne with an FPV F6 than a HSV Maloo because the former is a 'commercial vehicle' https://www.motoring.com.au/ford-fal...h-grab-103455/ Quote:
